1/150 L1201 Heller Passat 1911 German Four Masted Sailing Ship

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Out of production. Very large and a highly detailed model kit. Never started. Parts still sealed in factory bags. Includes extensive rigging diagrams and a very nice loom and instructions for making ratlines. The Passat started life as a 'Ferdinant Laeisz' Navigation Company four-masted ship. Her first trip was from Hamburg to Chile through Capetown. Passat sailed till WWI when she spent the war at Yquiqui harbor. She was handed over to France in 1921, rebuilt, and resumed trips through Capetown. In 1932 she was sold to Erikson in Finland. In 1951 she was purchased by the German Company Schliewen and became a training ship.
