1/150 80889 Heller Le Glorieux 74 Gun Ship - Circa 1770
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG
Highly detailed kit with 870 parts and 9 sheets of billowing sails. The 'Le Glorieux' was a French ship laid down in 1770. She is unique in that her lower hull was sheathed with coppers, a practice that did not take hold till much later. In 1779, she sailed with the Comte d'Estaing squadron, or the American Squadron. She was also part of the Blue Fleet with the flagship La Couronne. Never started. The parts are still in the factory sealed bags and includes sails and instructions. Sails are 'excellent' and have typical dents from being in the box with the plastic parts.
