Rare and still the only 1/72 scale kit ever made of this subject. The F3B was a complete redesign of the less successful F2B-1. As a result, F3Bs began to replace F2Bs in just a few months. The US Navy ordered 74 F3Bs and they served from 1928 till 1931. The aircraft was very popular with crews, so it continued in use for many years after it left squadron service. While flying as a 'hack' aircraft, they acquired wheel pants and Townend cowl ring - these parts are also included in the kit. Esoteric was known for production perhaps the finest vacuform kits. The mold quality is higher than most injection molded kits. Features all parts required for construction, very good cockpit, metal details and extruded strut material. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the white vac parts are uncut, untouched and 100% complete. Includes all decals and excellent instructions. There may be adult research notes very neatly hand-written on the instructions. These are professionally done and very helpful.
