The N9H was the final refinement of the Curtiss model 5 'N' Series aircraft. It was developed from it's more famous relative, the JN series and was essentially a navalized 'Jenny'. It was the Navy's first mass produced training aircraft. 560 were built and they served from 1916 to 1926. The aircraft was loved by aircrews and was responsible for training the nucleus of WWII US Naval Aviation. Esoteric was known for making perhaps the finest vacuform kits. The moldings are crisp and have fine recessed detail; they are of better than many injection molded kits. Features all parts required for construction, very good cockpit, metal details and extruded strut material. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the white vac parts are uncut, untouched and 100% complete. Includes all decals and excellent instructions. Amazingly, one Navy Jenny still exists as the sole example and is on display at the Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola, Florida.
