The Marine Hawk was the final production version of the venerable aircraft. The addition of the Pratt & Whitney R-1340 engine made the aircraft lighter and more maneuverable than the liquid cooled versions. These aircraft were assigned to land based Marine squadrons. The -4 Hawks finished there service life in Pensacola, FL in a training roll. Also, these machines were used for aerobatic flight displays in a three ship formation, thus the -4 is responsible for creating the foundation of the Blue Angels Demonstration Team. The actual model features beautiful white vac moldings, metal details, decals for multiple aircraft, extruded shaped strut material and full instructions. This kit has never been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the white vac parts are uncut, untouched and 100% complete. Includes all decals and instructions. Esoteric was known for making perhaps the finest vacuform kits. The moldings are crisp and have fine recessed detail - better than many injection molded kits. Every part needed to complete the kit is included down to the interior.
