1/600 S1-198 Airfix RMS Queen Elizabeth Ocean Liner Craftmaster Issue
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good
Fantastic Craftmaster artwork of this famous Queen entering New York Harbor. Very highly detailed and well molded full-hull kit. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The famous Queen Elizabeth was the largest liner in the world when launched in 1938. She saw extensive service during WWII as a troop transport. After the war, she and the original Queen Mary formed the backbone of Cunard Atlantic Service in unparalleled luxury. Some customers favored the Queen Elizabeth for her modern lines and more modern interior fittings. She was supposed to be on display in the USA on the opposite shore of the Queen Mary, but buyers never materialized. While serving as a 'College Ship' she burned in Hong Kong Harbor where she was scrapped, but only after appearing in a James Bomb Film as a MI-6 hide-out.
