Rare first box issue with glossy box top and the best mold quality. Very large (1/24 scale) kit with 20 inch wingspan. Designed to be motorized; the motor hides perfectly in the detailed engine and the batteries are in the base. Airfix did not furnish the motor (it was sold separately) but did include the other required parts. The batteries are stored out-of-sight in the base. This highly detailed model features detailed Merlin engine, removable cowl panels, opening canopy and excellent cockpit, optional position landing gear, rubber main gear tires and tail wheel, full machine gun bays with removable wing panels, operating control surfaces and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
