Still factory sealed but the seal has splits, especially on the right side. 1970s very large scale kit with 54 inch wingspan. For rubber or gas free flight or RC (radio control). Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, high quality printwood, factory-cut spars and stringers, balsa nose block, metal prop shaft, clear window material, fully formed wheels and thrust button, rubber motor, covering tissue, propeller and detailed full size plans with building instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Nicely detailed, large-scale model with over 170 parts. The original Frog kit was issued as kit #347P in 1961. Features full railings, complete deck fittings and pipes, color decals and flag sheet. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one propeller blade and (2) chocks. Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals, flag sheet and instructions. The original Shell Welder was built in 1955 by Celland Ship Building Company for Shell-Mex & BP Marketing. She had a displacement of 1042 tons and carried a cargo of 550 tons of petroleum in four tanks. The main engines are six cylinder diesels of 570 BHP at 400 rpm. She was still afloat in 1989 and had been converted to a motor dredger/sand carrier with Northwood (Fareham Ltd) of London.

The Mig-21 features Atoll air-to-air missiles, removable detailed RD-11 turbojet engine, optional position landing gear with rotating wheels, hinged clear canopy and detailed cockpit. Decals are for Soviet or North Vietnamese Air Forces. The F-4 Phantom features removable engine, radar and removable radome, moving tailhook, detailed cockpit and opening canopies, optional position landing gear and an extensive loadout with AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-7 Sparrow missiles, multiple drop tanks, triple ejector racks and six Mk.82 500 lb bombs. Decals are for Steve Ritchie's aircraft.

In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of its kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. The model includes real rubber tires, chrome plated parts, clear windshields and light lenses and colored injection molded parts. Features detailed chassis with suspension, gas tank and steering linkage, complete motor and interior, spoked wheels, optional convertible top and removable hood.
