Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
Famous German Flying Boat of the 1930s. Dornier dreamed that this huge aircraft would become a trans-oceanic airliner. Passenger traveled in ocean-liner like luxury. A tour of South and North American was conducted, but orders never materialized due to excessive fuel consumption and a lack of power. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

I believe this is the 4th edition of this kit, and the first issue with this Jim Cox boxart. Dates from mid 1955 with small 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo and 'Famous Fighters of All Nations'. It is interesting that this issue did not carry the standard Aurora 'Northern Lights' logo for 1956 - perhaps it was designed at the end of 1955 and simply left that way. Correctly molded in metallic burgundy and clear with the correct rectangular clear stand. For this issue the factory changed the swastikas on the tail to iron crosses and decals as well. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
Vacuform Model Kit, Box Condition: NM
Very rare. Fantastic artwork by Ray Gaedke. The box is in exceptional near mint condition. In the late 1950s/early 1960s, Lindberg came out with a complete line of vacuformed rubber powered flying models. The kits were all prepainted, had large wingspans and were quite attractive for flying models. They also included the rubber band, spring wire landing gear and injection molded wheels, propeller and bushing. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including instructions, which are on the back along with an adjustment guide for flying.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
1997 issue with decals for both aircraft. This is the final issue of this kit, modified from the older molds. Includes optional parts for F6 or F2A variants, drop tanks, Red Top and Firestreak missiles and a large, extensive decal sheet. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
Metal Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc
This is an all original solid metal model of the early B-26 Marauder. Please note the prop spinners, pointed tail and short vertical stabilizer. BronzArt originally produced ID models in 1/72 scale for the US Military in World War II. When hostilities ended, they continued to make some models for the general population, of which this is one. Measures 10 inches LOA with a 11 inch wingspan and is made exclusively of metal. All original paint and decals. Decals are excellent. Paint is excellent with very little wear. No cracks, missing parts or damage. There is no stand.
Resin Model Kit, Box Condition: Fair

Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s. Dime Scale models used to sell for a dime in the 1930's, hence the name. They are actually box scale, but as a general guideline, they usually had a wingspan of 16 inches and have simple and light construction. "Dime Scale" models are now a class flown in some competitions. Kit consists of contest grade printwood, contest quality strip wood, machine cut balsa propeller, the best Japanese tissue, wooden wheels, competition bushed nose plug, brass thrust washers, prop shaft, prop freewheeler, FAI rubber strip motor and a copy of a genuine dime scale plan that was used in the 1930s-1940s. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Wood and Metal Model Kit, Box Condition: VG+
Solid wooden model from the 1930s. Features hardwood 3D machine carved fuselage, profile cut wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizers, excellent turned hardwood cowl, printwood prop, a sealed envelope of small parts and excellent plans that include 3 elevation drawings and many cross sections for templates. Never started and complete, even include factory packing tissue paper. This model is rare in that it is from Gordon Christoph's Aircraft Model Company. This company was founded in the early 1930s. Jack Mair, a former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. Mair continued with the same logo and 1/48 scale and went on to make one of the rarest and valuable 1/48 scale wooden kits ever - the Maircraft DC-3. The company went out of business just as production began on the DC-3, which was in 1947.

Purchased new on April 22, 1972 at a local Kmart in Cleveland, OH. Large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with all die cut parts, 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction and 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' construction, a very large and colorful insignia sheet, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. Never started and inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good
Rare, big scale kit from the 1950s. The box is nice with four solid corners but has creasing and wear as shown. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct clear and silver with the correct big Frog base that was unique to these larger kits. Even the original glue capsule is included. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. As often happened, the decals were folded at the factory; that and age have caused some minor lifting on the decals.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good-
1991 issue of the famous Monogram Four Star model from the late 1950s. The Cyclone was very dependable and powered numerous famous aircraft, the DC-3 and B-17 being just a few. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Mold swapping between Revell and Monogram started soon after the same European holding company bought them both.

From Pyro molds cut just before Life-Like took over production. Pyro's intent was probably to issue this in the 'Vintage Brass Car' series, but the timing of the plastic kit line to Life-Like changed that. Very nicely done model with full engine and compartment details, complete interior, separately molded front and rear suspension/axles, spoked wheels, optional top with porthole rear windows and a four piece hood that can be built closed or correctly opened. Molded in yellow with brass plated & clear parts and rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.
