Superbly detailed Genesis issue powered A and B locomotives. Judging from the very slight wheel wear, these were run perhaps three or four times BUT they were stored for a time 'on the track' or on a shelf (not in the factory boxes). As a result, the undersides are like new but the tops are dusty. They are 100% complete but both horns are broken off the "A" unit. The horns are present so you can repair them. Includes all three factory boxes (a box for each locomotive and the external sleeve for both those boxes), all the original factory dark gray foam packing material as well as (2) "F Series Diesel Locomotive Owners Guide" with an exploded diagrams on the back. I have no way to test these locomotives so they are sold as-is.

There are no broken parts and each engine is 100% complete. I hesitate to call anything mint, so I will grade them both as 'near mint' condition. Not perfect, but close. Includes all three factory boxes (a box for each locomotive and the external sleeve for both those boxes), all the original factory plastic and dark gray foam packing and the following paperwork: (2) "FlyWheel Drive F-Unit" exploded diagrams and parts sheet and (2) "Athearn News" sign up sheets. I have no way to test these locomotives so they are sold as-is.

First issue from 1956 with Northern Lights logo and dramatic Cox artwork. This original art lasted longer than any other at Aurora, only being replaced in the early 1970s when the molds were revised. Molded in the correct gloss dark green and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box displays slighter better than the 'good+' rating - but I rated it as such because there is general wear, edge wear at the lower left and light spotting on the two short sides.

Very rare kit from 1946. It appears that only one of these has traded hands in any public transaction since the late 1990s and the lack of photos is noteworthy. This was a very deluxe, expensive model for that time, retailing for an astounding $7.95. It is a very sturdy model with fully planked fuselage, sheeted wing, solid horizontal and vertical stabs, rudder and elevators, solid wing tips and more. Features a very large number of precut parts (some fully finished, others requiring additional trimming or sanding, rubber scale wheels with finished wood hubs, many plywood parts at key locations, quality planking and sheeting wood, clear windshield material, extensive hardware still in the wax paper bag, various sizes of wire stock, separate text building instructions and superb full size plans. Never started and complete. Please note there is no tissue because this model does not use tissue. There is also no printwood since the parts are factory cut out.
