Rare early 1960s hardbox issue with dramatic and colorful artwork by AJ Rudisill of the 'trawler' monitoring Polaris SLBM test launches while a SSBN lurks off the starboard side. In the early 1960s the appearance of the Russian 'Fishing Fleet' loaded with sensors to track US Missile tests or fleet communications prompted the Pyro company to issue this kit with a 'Communist Red' molded hull, tan decks and black fittings. Large scale and well detailed for that time, the model measures 17 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. All the small parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the larger parts were never sealed and inventoried complete. With instructions. Pyro did not include decals with this kit.

The success of the Civil RWD series aircraft in sport and competition flying lead to further designs. The RWD-14 'Heron' (Czapla) was a light communications-observation aircraft. 65 were ordered, and all were delivered by February 28th, 1939. The aircraft took part in WWII by flying reconnaissance and communications missions. Nicely molded, earlier kit with fine raised detail, very fine and accurate textured surface for where the aircraft was fabric covered, cockpit detail and Polish Air Force decals.
