North American contracted Topping to create this model and it was given away to to Air Force officers, test pilots, early operational training squadron pilots and more. Base and aircraft have no damage and are in excellent condition. The aircraft has the original decals in fair condition. There are no cracks and the plastic has an excellent shine as new. The entire display measures 8 inches in length.

1979 issue is well detailed and finely molded. Features complete cockpit and full interior including troop benches. Never started. Inventoried and the actual aircraft is complete; NOTE that the display stand is missing. Includes all other parts, decals and instructions. The Waco CG-4 was designed and initially built by Waco Aircraft Company of Troy, OH. It first saw action in Sicily and the operation was termed a disaster. This likely had more to do with planning than the actual glider. Missions in Europe, including D-Day, went much better. The glider was even deployed to Burma. It could carry up to 13 troops, or a jeep and four men, or a 75mm Field Gun.
