1961 issue with framable John Steel artwork. This is a very well detailed model that measures 40 cm (about 16" long) long when assembled. As with earlier Revell sailing ship kits, the moldings are fine and to scale. Includes preformed rat lines, vac billowing sails, colorful flag sheet and rigging instructions. There is no assembly but NOTE: the instructions say to remove four small parts from the hull; this has been neatly done. The kit has been inventoried and NOTE: missing one piece, the seats for the one whaleboat. Otherwise includes all other parts, flags, ratlines with cutting guide, sails and instructions. The sails are only 'average' with two damaged; one has minor damage but the other is split. There is a tiny tip of a retainer missing on one hull half; the retainer is for the bowsprite.

Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work. This kit features color insignia, a full size plan, fuselage that is about 80% 3D cut, profile cut wings and tails, printwood and fully formed turned wheels and engine nacelle. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes plans with full-size three-view plans with fuselage and wing templates.

1987 reissue of the kit from 1967. Measures over 20 inches long and includes a full one piece hull, propeller and rudder detail, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, moving cranes, decals and flags. There is no assembly but there is very neat painting as follows: the B-25s are painted to 'excellent+' quality as the ship's name plate is also painted to 'excellent+' quality. There is no other painting. Inventoried and NOTE: only 11 of 16 B-25s are present, so 5 are missing. Otherwise includes all other pieces, decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed and from the original 1958 Revell molds; Con-Cor even used the original Revell box artwork. Very nicely detailed for that time, featuring a two story farmhouse, chicken coop, garage, outhouse, figures, farm animals, wheelbarrow, barrels, mail box and more. This is one in an excellent line of Revell HO buildings and accessories which Con-cor acquired. Some of the original kits included Small Town Station, Barn Group, Maintenance Shed, Operating Hopper Set, Operating Engine House, Trackside Maintenance Shed, Four Farm Buildings, Cattle Set, Four Trackside Buildings, Railroad Crew & Hobo, Barnyard Animals, Sign and Signal Set, Townspeople, Suburban House, Sand & Pump House With Fuel Tank, Summer Stock Theater, Ford Auto Transport Truck, Yardmaster's Office, Engine Crew's Shanty and more. There was even a Lighting Accessory Kit. I am not certain exactly which ones Con-Cor did or did not reissue; however, they did release most of them.
