The model has an injection molded inner structure of ribs and stringers like a real aircraft, then the modeler covers it with provided authentic pre-colored Aeroskin fabric. Pyro 1914 Mercer Raceabout, 1/32, C452-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$39

1967 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of their kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. This car is an exact reproduction of the car owned by Ralph T. Buckley, owner of the Antique Auto Shop of New Jersey. This shop specialized in rebuilding Mercer automobiles to factory new condition. The car was part of the Gene Zimmerman display of over 150 such cars in Holiday West PA. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet.' Molded in deep red, brass plating, clear and with rubber tires. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Other Materials,   Box Condition: VG+

The SR 'Singl Servo Carry' is still in the original factory clear bag and packing material. The OS Escapement is still in the factory clear bag and packing material. The other escapement box appears to contain an NOS receiver - that is my guess since it has a significant antenna. The Perfect gas tank is the #23 Long Senior Wedgetank with a 2 oz capacity; this is a soldered metal tank. The three 'Clunk Tanks' are all new in the box. I believe they are fuel bottles.

Fador 1905 REO Runabout, 1/16

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$69

Rare kit dated 1949. Very well detailed for that time. Big-scale model features numerous die-cut, machined and saw-cut wooden parts, excellent plastic wheels, grill, steering wheel, lanterns and horn, other metal parts and metal stock and die-cut cardstock parts. Come with superb, large fold out plans that show four elevations drawings, many various detail drawings, a photo of the finished model and extensive text instructions. The kit has never been started. The small parts are still factory bag sealed and the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Fador was another maker of big 1/16 classic cars, like Hudson Miniatures. The full name was Fador Mfg. Company and the address was 501E. Clinton St., Elmira, NY. It appears that Hudson beat Fador to the scene by a year; Hudson's spectacular product line growth starting in 1948 may have influenced Fador in the choice of subject and scale. Fador called the line 'Smallersters' and the design of the kits is very similar. Fortunately, Fador chose completely different vehicles. Because of their great decisions, these are often the only model kits ever made of these historical cars. There is no record of Fador making any plastic kits; the introduction and overwhelming popularity of the Highway Pioneers and the other kits that quickly followed may have driven them out of the market as it did many other wood manufacturers.
