The kit and extra decals were purchased brand new on August 5, 1962 at the 'Hobby Center' (owned by Andy Martin) in Dayton OH. Includes the rare Microscale 72-24 "Famous B-24 Bombers" decal sheet with 'Strawberry Bitch' from the 376th Bomb Group, 'Heather Angel' 307th BG, 'Calamity Jane' 307th BG, 'Betsy' 90th BG, 'The Witch' of the 98th BG, and 'Lazy Lou' of the 446th. The decals are mint and never used and in the original plastic sleeve. However, I do not see a markings guide; sometimes early Microscale decals did not come with one but I am not sure in this case. The actual kit is the 1964 first issue hardbox with excellent color and gloss. Has many action features: landing gear retracts and extends, control surfaces move, guns elevate and turrets rotate, wheels and propeller rotate, flaps extend/retract, 4 crew and has optional position (opened or closed) side gunner's stations. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

The kit itself is nicely detailed and contains parts and markings for four versions and two engine options. Features recessed panel lines, optional drop tank and X4 wire-guided air-to-air missiles. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Ta-183 was the winner of the Luftwaffe's emergency fighter competition of 1945 and was to enter full scale production. The aircraft never entered production, but the Russians and the Americans found the plans. From them, the Russians eventually build some aircraft and modified them till it was the Mig-15 while the Americans relied more on Messerschmitt plans for the basis of the F-86 Sabre Jet.
