Monogram Two White Wall Drag Slicks - Custom Accessories For 1/8 Scale Cars - BAGGED, 1/8, AK206-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: No Box

Sold

NOTE: bagged kit; there is no box. The box is shown for reference only. Very rare and from 1963. First and only Four-Star issue of this rare accessory for customizing Monogram's large 1/8 cars or any other large-scale car kit. Includes one pair of M&H Racemaster Dragster 8.00-15 white sidewall drag slicks molded in a rubber-like plastic, hollow and flexible. The tires and their whitewalls are never used and in 'excellent' condition. One may have had a rim slid inside as there is scuffing inside (that does not show), but it has never been glued or out on display. In an attempt to make the superb but very expensive 1/8 car molds pay off, Monogram issued some parts separately as accessories for any larger car models. The entire line came out in 1963 and consisted of AK201-59 Six Carb Assembly, AK202-59 Oval Gas Tank, AK203-79 Drag Race Set, AK204-79 GMC Blower Set, AK205-79 Chrome Wheel Set, AK206-100 White Wall Drag Slicks and AK207-79 White Wall Tires. Sales were very weak because all of the 1/8 scale car kits were very expensive for that time, so and the line was discontinued.
