Beautiful box art shows a colorful pre-war 'Yellow Wing' PBY rescuing a downed pilot. This kit is dated 1962 but this is release is from about 1964 due to not having 'Famous Fighters' in the logo. The box is in excellent condition with as new color and gloss, four solid corners and no sign of price tags or tape. There is very light wear as shown and slight sun fading on the left short side. The model features retracting pontoons, nose and main landing gear (this is the amphibious version), clear cockpit windshield, turret, side windows and rear blisters and rotating propellers. This version has the desirable large clear two-piece 'World Map' stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare kit dated 1956. Please note that is an unusual box art variation that still has the 'Famous Fighters' oval starburst logo. Very nicely detailed kit with 1/8 scale Marine figure with sword and scabbard, optional rifle, detailed cap, display base and US Marines Insignia. Decals are included for rank. Molded in the correct dark blue. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box is graded only 'fair+' due to light fading, light stains, general wear and a closed 1.5" tape tear on the left long side.

Aurora United States Sailor, 1/8, 410-98

First issue dated 1957 and with artwork by Marinelli. This model is part of the famous early Aurora 'figure' kits, which were launched with the purchase of the Crown knight molds. Never started. It has been inventoried and the actual sailor is complete but NOTE: missing the ~1" disc for the display stand. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora 1931 Miller Special 1931 Indianapolis 500 Winner - (ex Best), 1/30, 523-79

Very rare and from 1958. The superb box art was painted by Monaghan, who did all of Aurora's Indy 500 winners. This model is from Best molds. Aurora purchased these molds just for the Indianapolis 500 Winners and released only one issue. The kit is molded in white plastic with real rubber tires, a driver figures, some interior detail and very nice decals. It has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Louis Schneider and 'Jigger Johnson' (driver and mechanic) drove the Bowes Seal Special to victory in 1931. The Miller Special had rear wheel drive, and eight cylinder 151.7 CID Miller engine and won the day averages 96.629 miles per hour. The track was dangerously unsafe that year due to a heavy drizzle that made driving over 80 mph dangerous - at one point, drivers were required to slow down to 80 mph and passing was not allowed other than the pit area. There were many spectacular accidents but the rain did relent and there were many speeds over 100 mph in the later part.

Rare kit in excellent condition inside and out. The box is solid with four great corners, no tape or tags and general wear as shown. Very well detailed and features a Slant 6 engine, full custom interior, detailed suspension and exhaust, optional parts to make the stock cab or topless model, full streamlined camper clear bed cover or flat cover and more. Molded in white, clear, red-tint clear and with two chrome trees and rubber tires. Inside, the kit has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts, regular decal sheet, woodgrain decal sheet and instructions. NOTE: the regular decal sheet has bug damage mainly on the backing paper. Only the edges of two decals have slight bug damage; the rest are free of damage.

Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear and with rubber tires. Includes a big and colorful Hostess decal sheet. This model is loaded with features including parts and decals for three different versions (stock, custom and advanced custom), an unopened tube of plastic body putty, special 'upholstery' material, sandpaper, detailed engine with optional speed/custom parts, opening hood, stock and custom interior with mascot, telephone, reel-to-reel tape recorder, helmet, parachute & more, choice of wheel covers and knock-offs, gas and oil cans, torque wrench, tool box with removable lid, detailed trailer with hitch and opening tail gate, roof carrier rack siren, fender skirts, exhaust side pipes, sunken aerials, mirrors & spotlights, custom rear roll pan and license plate shroud, knock-off gas cap, custom grill, custom front end extension, full custom rear end treatment, a complete Chrysler racing engine & transmission with options for fuel injection top mounted blower, eight carbs & blown, fuel injection unblown, fuel injection & crank driven blower and eight carb not blown, engine stand and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, white wall stickers, body putty, seat covering material and instructions. NOTE: the instructions are photocopies; the original instructions are missing. There are tire burns as follows: seat (moderate, repairable), fan belt (light) and a few other very light burns.

Hard-to-find original issue from the early 1960s; not the common modern reissue. Features an unopened metal tube of 'Plastic Body Filler Putty', sandpaper, special upholstery material, stock or supercharged engine, detailed engine bay, opening hood, full interior, numerous custom parts, wild custom front and rear end treatments, accessories and custom decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with body putty, upholstery material, sandpaper & all plastic parts present and with photocopied (newer) instructions but NOTE: missing decals and original instructions. The photocopied instructions included are very high quality and from a new issue from the exact same molds, so they work perfectly for assembly. There are tire burns as follows: battery (serious, all detail on the top of the battery is gone), custom front end extension (light burn, easily fixed), inner wheel & intake manifold (small on both) and a very light one on (1) custom tail light 'cone' lens. The box is only 'fair' and not collectible due to bug damage to the litho.

From the very early 1960s issue with Ray Gaedke artwork and the 39 cent price extension on the kit number. The original molds were cut by Trim Model Products in the early to mid 1950s. Trim sold them in bags or in hardboxes, but eventually decided to leave the plastic model business and sold the molds to Lindberg in the early 1960s. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

The box is moisture damaged but the contents are fine; even the decals and instructions are like new.

late 1950s Cellovision issue with great Ray Gaedke artwork. This XK 120 is molded in light blue and features a one-piece body (excellent for slot car conversion), windshield, chassis/underpan, steering wheel and four wheels/tires. While a simple kit, it does have very good interior and realistic lines. Never started. The actual car has been inventoried with all plastic parts and instructions present. NOTE: missing decals. The Cellovision window is intact and in 'very good' condition and the trading card is also 'very good.' The scale is not given; I have approximated it as 1/32. The actual model is 5.125 inches long.

In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes colored injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed chassis, detailed engine and exhaust, removable hood, trunk mounted spare and complete interior. 1995 reissue of the original 1974 kit of the German Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle. Highly detailed with traditional Monogram quality. This kit can be built as either version - the 231 or the 232 communications vehicle. Includes three crew members, campfire and tent-fly with poles. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one tiny part, a small round clear lens. Easily made by putting white glue in it's place on the hull. Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions.
