Aurora Silver Knight of Augsburg 1560 Valiant Warriors - Crown Issue, 1/8, K1-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$165

Very rare 2nd 'Crown' issue. This issue is dated 1956, but is from 1957 judging from the new 'Famous Fighters' oval logo and the fact that 'CROWN' is moved up to the top, just below Aurora. Inside, the kit is also correct for the second issue. The instructions still have the 1956 rectangular logo, but Aurora has removed copyright on them that said 'Crown Plastics, Inc Princeton, New Jersey'. Molded in a beautiful gloss silver and with a feather plume. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. In the mid 1950s, Crown Plastics advertised the release of a series of Knight models - some of the very first figure kits. However, before Crown entered production, Aurora marketed the line for Crown in 1956- the first issue of this kit (this is the second issue). The first issue had a copyright on the instructions as 'Crown Plastics, Inc Princeton, New Jersey'. These were the first Aurora Knights ever issued and Aurora gave them the kit numbers K1-98, K2-98 and K3-98. These were the very first Aurora figure kits. The knights sold well, and Aurora bought the three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics within the year. The first issue had the early Aurora 'Northern Lights' rectangular logo has the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it.

Revell Boeing 707 Flagship American Airlines - 'S' Kit Issue, 1/139, H246-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$175

ITC Mercer Raceabout Motorized Cam-a-Matic with Working Lights, 1/8, 36376-895

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair++

$185

The largest injection molded kit ever made of this famous car. From the very early 1960s; features good detail for that time and operates realistically with Cam-a-Matic action. Car moves forward with real motor sound, then begins one of several pre-set steering patterns via one of four cams, stops at selected intervals, then flashes the headlights on then reverses at selected intervals! Measures about 17 inches long when built. Molded in red, black, clear and with plated plastic. The kit has never been started. The motor with metal parts and plated parts are still in their factory sealed bags, as are half of the red parts, the brass plated parts and the black wheels/tires. NOTE: one red parts bag is open; the kit appears (I say appears because one red bag is still sealed) to be missing the starting crank and short steering column sleeve; both are easily made. Also missing decals. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions present. The yellow interior display cardboard is present and in 'good' condition. The box top displays much better than the 'fair++' grade but is graded as such because one short side is torn but complete and taped from the inside. The lower box (tray) is complete but split on many corners and repaired with clear tape. There is a small, high quality repair to the underside of the chassis where there was a 1 inch closed split on a fender mount.

Williams Brothers Northrop Gamma Texaco Sky Chief or Polar Star, 1/72, 72-214

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM

$28

Still factory sealed. The Gamma was designed by John Northrop and was considered very advanced in 1933. The airplane was an instant success. Texaco took delivery of the first one and set numerous cross-country speed records, in addition to being a crowd favorite at air shows. Dr. Lincoln Ellsworth used a Gamma in 1935 for a successful Trans-Antarctic Flight in the 'Polar Star'. This aircraft now rests in the Smithsonian. Gammas were also flown by Howard Hughes and Jacqueline Cochran. The model is very nicely molded and detailed and can build one of two versions of the Sky Chief (Phase I or III) or one of two versions of the Polar Star (Phase I or II)and includes all optional parts required to do so including two different engines, cowlings, nose sections, two and three blade propellers, canopies, one and two seat cockpits and tail wheels as required. Imai 1906 Mercedes-Benz Motorized - (ex-Bandai / Mercedes Benz), 1/16, 1-3407-998

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$325

Very, very rare. From ex-Bandai molds. Highly detailed, large-scale model with RE-14 motor drive. Includes a novel, well-engineered and correctly hidden metal drive box with gears and transaxle for drive on both rear wheels. When the in operation, Imai/Bandai arranged to have the drive belts and cogs move just like on the real car. The on/off system has been improved over the original Bandai system; the engine now operates from a hidden switch under the floorboard and the motor is reversed from a switch on the floor of the interior. The headlights also operate. The batteries are cleverly hidden under the front seat. Kit features detailed scale engine, removable hood, full frame and detailed underside, complete suspension, front wheels that can be turned, full interior, opening doors and more. To minimize or eliminate painting, Imai molded this kit in gloss white, red, gray, black, brown, clear, brass plate, nickel plate and with rubber tires, metal parts, flexible drive belts and more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. The glue is not present, and was probably never included.

Revell Convair F-106A Delta Dart Whip Fly with Whistle and Streamers, 1/67, H159-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair++

$89

Rare. 1961 issue in the Whip Fly series. This series was quickly discontinued when they realized that needle-nose jets heavily weighted with clay and swung at very high speeds might not be safe. Based on the 1950s F-106 "S" kit, the Delta Dart Whip Fly comes with USAF decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: front canopy is split just below the centerline frame. Both parts are present and an easy fix. The box is intact but graded as such due to the heavy litho wear as shown.
