Resin Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

Very highly detailed resin kit. It has never been started. The parts are still in the internally sealed factory bags. Includes decals and instructions. In 1943, as the war situation worsened, Nakajima sought to develop a very long-range, super-heavy bomber which could be able to carry a 11,000 lbs bomb load to the United States, where they could mount bombing raids against targets along America's western seaboard. Nakajima named it the "Z-bomber". The project impressed the Japanese Army and Navy. With the supports from military, Nakajima finalized the specification of the bomber and it was designated G10N1 Fugaku. Initially, Nakajima planned to use the powerful Nakajima Ha-44 36-cylinder radial engine of 5,000 hp, mounting three per wing. However, it was soon discovered that the Ha-44 was too complex and it would not be available in any reliable form in the near future. As the Z-project could not wait for them to be ready, six Mitsubishi Ha-50 radials would have to be used instead. In February 1944, after US Marines captured Iwo Jima, the Japanese high command realized that USAAF strategic bombing of the homeland was near, so Nakajima was ordered to stop any development of bomber so that it would not interfere with fighter plane production.

MPM Mitsubishi A7M2 Reppu Sam - Upgraded Issue, 1/72, 72133

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed NM

Sold

Still factory sealed and includes upgraded details. Designed as a replacement for the A6M Reisen, the first A7M1 was completed in 1944. The fighter was well armed and had self sealing tank, hydraulically folding wings and a bullet proof windshield. The revised version with the MK9A was a complete success, but earthquakes, bombing raids and a prototype crash delayed the project till the end of the war.

Designed as a replacement for the World War II–era propeller-driven P-61 Black Widow night/interceptor aircraft, the XF-87 lost in government procurement competition to the Northrop F-89 Scorpion. The loss of the contract was fatal to the company; the Curtiss-Wright Corporation closed down its aviation division, selling its assets to North American Aviation.

KSN Midori Great Britain Hornet Anti-Tank Missile Armored Car - FV1620 Humber Hornet With Malkara Missiles, 1/40

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Features rear wheel drive, real rubber wheels and even spring-loaded launching missiles. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Hornet was developed in the 1950s to provide British and Australian airborne units with an air-dropped long-range anti-tank capability. Based on the British Army's FV1611 Humber "Pig" one-ton four-wheel drive armoured truck, it carried two Malkara, missiles on a retractable boom at the rear, as well as two reloads. It could be transported by air in a Blackburn Beverley and air-dropped on a cluster of 6 special parachutes. The gunner fired the missiles from inside the cab and controlled them by means of a joystick attached to a wire which unreeled from the rear of the missile and connected to the sights. Electronic signals controlling the missile's flight were transmitted through the wire. With a 27 kg warhead, the Malkara missiles carried the largest warhead ever fitted to an anti-tank weapon and could destroy any tank in service at the time. The Hornet remained in service with British units until being replaced in the 1970s by the Ferret armoured car Mk 5 equipped with Swingfire missiles. It was also operated by a squadron of the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment.
