Designed in the early 1990s as a inexpensive, reusable small payload space vehicle. The X-34 demo aircraft was to be air launched from a L-1011 carrier. Peak altitude was predicted as 250K, from which it would then glide to reentry and landing. Three were built, and #1 was tested captive in flight. #2 was expected to make the first powered flight in late 2000, but NASA cancelled the project due to shrinking funding in 2001. Very highly detailed resin kit. Still internally sealed. Complete with decals and instructions.

1959 first and only issue of this classic and rare kit. This example is 100% complete as it came from the factory - right down to the factory glue and the cardboard that it was taped to. The box is in excellent condition with great color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or price tags and no missing or torn litho. Contains models of 18 aircraft all to a constant 1/240 scale. Features 102 very finely molded parts. All aircraft are modeled in flight configuration that is accurate down to the wing angle on the B-52. The completed kits are displayed on a large blue base with all aircraft riding on thin metal 'Flight Wires'. The paperwork is complete and the large decal sheet, instructions and Air Power book are in near mint to mint condition. The factory glue is present and not used - the cardboard that it was taped to is present also. The model has never been started. Complete with all parts for all 18 aircraft. NOTE: the wing tip tank of the F-80 has broken off but is present. It is a clean break and an easy repair. Shipping insurance is required on this item.

Rare Pyro kit from the late 1960s. Large scale - measures about 14 inches long when assembled. Very nicely molded and detailed. Features well over 250 parts, individually molded cannon, cradles and cannon hull hatches, separately molded fife rails with belaying pins, pre-molded rat lines, billowing sails, blocks and two photos for use in rigging the ship. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including instructions. Any kit of a Dutch 17th Century Man-o-War is rare - this may be the only injection molded kit ever made of this famous subject. The Gouda fought in the Anglo-Dutch Wars. She was built about 1636 and was commanded by Jan Egbertsz Ooms. The Gouda and other ships from Witte de With's fleet were lost in a storm in early November 1653. Pyro did not cut molds based on popularity, but usually by the historical significance of the subject. This was not a good injection-molded model business practice, but many collectors and builders are grateful today for these kits.

First issue dated 1961. This all-time classic is widely considered one of the finest visible aircraft action kits ever made. Features a full cut away model with interior detail molded in the colors shown on the box artwork. Buttons on the red base activate two motors that make the prop spin, and the main gear and tail wheel retract and extend. Two other levers on the base drop the wing bombs. Inside, this kit is in amazing 'near mint' condition. All of the special presentation cardboard is as new and the two electric motors are still sealed. The kit is molded in the correct first edition plastic that is clear, red, black, silver and zinc chromate green. The kit has never been started and is inventoried complete with all parts present. Instructions and decals are correct for the first issue and feature the 'Horse' stand decal. Decals and instructions are both in remarkable 'excellent++' condition. The box has very good color and gloss, four solid original corners, no repairs, no tears or rips and no price tags or damage from tags. There is light wear as shown, creasing at the lower and mid left, very slight fading to the yellow and two pieces of clear tape on the very bottom of the two long sides (where someone once taped the box shut.

Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels and canopy material (if required), tissue, rubber and propeller. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Original issue from 1955. Box looks better than the 'Good' condition grade because the damage is on one short side where there is litho loss. Well detailed kit. Inside, the kit is as new. It has never been started and all small parts are still sealed in the small factory bag. All larger parts are inventoried complete and the kit includes the instructions, decals and flag sheet. I believe that the Matson Line Hawaiian Pilot originally started life as the Navy USS Burleigh C-3 Transport. After the was she became the Oceanic lines SS Sonoma (#2). On July 14, 1953, Hawaiian Pilot collided with SS Jacob Luckenbach (another C-3 freighter, ex-Sea Robin), off San Francisco. Luckenbach sank in 30 minutes; the crew was safely transferred to Hawaiian Pilot and there was no loss of life.
