Still factory sealed from 2005. Who can forget the Deora show car? My first exposure was a Mattel 'Hot Wheel' Deora, and the car's image seemed to be everywhere for quite a while. Mike and Larry, the Alexander Brothers, ran a well known and respected customizing shop in the late 1960s. Upon seeing the cab-forward Dodge A-100 Utility Truck, they had an inspiration. What they created was a timeless classic from a true 'ugly duckling'. To top it, the Deora show car was a completely functional car, not just a 'trailered' vehicle. Kit includes custom anodizing gold paint to simulate the original finish of the Deora. Can be built in one of two versions - the one on the box top or the enclosed version with a camper rear. Features complete interior, opening doors, detailed 6 cylinder engine and full decals.

Rare Master Modelers issue from about 1962. Includes trading cards, trading stamp and 1/24 scale miniature Revell Catalog. Kit features viewable detailed reactor, rotating props, movable rudder and 12 booms, cargo pallets with barrels/sacks/crates that fit into the holds, display stand and full decals. Very well molded kit and probably the best of all NS Savannah models between this and the Adams and ITC offerings. The kit has never been started. Inventoried complete with all parts including decals and instructions. The Savannah was the wonder of her time and she operated without incident, carrying cargo and passenger around the world. Although outfitted as a merchantman, she was given luxury quarters for passengers as a promotion of the peaceful uses of atomic power. The waiting list to ride as a passenger on the Savannah was years long, but worth the wait. If you are interested, there is an excellent National Geographic article (from the 1960s) about her and contains great photos.

Rare still factory sealed kit dated 1961. This is the actual 1961 issue - please note the 'sunburst' and 'Famous Fighters' within the Aurora logo as well as the 98 cent price extension. The model is in investment grade condition and as just as it left the Aurora shipping box. The hardbox is in fantastic condition with like-new color and gloss. The kit has movable control surfaces and excellent detail for that time.

Rare 1966 hardbox kit. Very large 1/87 scale (2 feet long) and detailed full hull kit of a classic commercial whaler. Molded in correct dark wood, black, tan and ivory/white. Features billowing sails, metal anchor chains, running and standing rigging, molded ratlines and display stand. This model was one of a small series of large scale sailing ships made by Aurora to appeal to the serious ship modeler. NOTE: the four whales halves that make up the stand ends have been assembled. Assembly is neatly done. There is no other assembly, no assembly of the boat and no painting. All parts have been inventoried 100% complete against the instructions and re-bagged. Includes instructions with full rigging diagrams and decals.

Still factory sealed. This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues with custom decals and the unique clear modular display stand. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.

This is a reproduction of a classic design and is half the size of the original. It includes full size plans, pre-cut parts and is authentically scaled from the original design. This model came from the estate of a very active and particular early aircraft kit collector. It is like factory-new inside and has not been started. Complete with all parts, plans and decals (if originally included). Designed for 'Sniffing Thermals', the honored pastime of a generation of model enthusiasts. Flying model aircraft predated powered flight; however, balsa wood and printwood were not introduced until the early 1930s and the hobby took off, as well as the hunt for thermals. Gas flight began in the early 1930s, and powered models (most all driven by Brown engines) took home so many awards that they were forever separated in competition from rubber powered models. Design of gas models was tricky since RC (radio control) models could not yet be applied to the mass market; so a gas model had to not only fly and climb under power, but then glide sufficiently - all in a stable fashion and without any operator inputs once the airplane took off.
