AMT Chrysler Imperial Western Pickup Truck, 1/25, T148-150

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Very rare. I believe the base vehicle is a '65 Imperial and this was an Alexander Brothers custom job - but that is just conjecture. An excellent kit with full engine and compartment, opening hood, 'horseshoe' door handles and brake pedal, custom interior, optional top, branding iron or steer horns hood ornament and a large sheet of woodgrain and text decals (in 'new' condition). Also includes white wall stickers. Molded in white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with all plastic parts present, instructions and NOTE, missing AMT body putty tube and it only has a partial decal sheet. The sheet is 80% intact but missing 20% of the decals. The tach and custom gauge faces are missing, along with 3 others, but they are not major ones.

MPC The Monkeemobile Modified GTO - (The Monkees Mobile), 1/25, 605-200

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Rare original issue dated 1967. The original two 'mobiles were designed by Dan Jeffries, not George Barris. Both cars were used to promote the Monkees and the hit TV show. Features detailed 389 CID GTO engine with blower, molded underside with separate rear suspension and exhaust system, full custom interior, optional touring car convertible top, custom wheels and Monkees keychain. Molded in the correct dark gloss red, clear, chrome and with real rubber tires. The chrome is 'excellent++.' The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the decals are complete and intact but the background paper is stained and there are a few small parts lifting. I have put them in a zip lock to keep them intact. The very top of the box is actually 'excellent' but I have graded the overall box 'good++' because there are water stains on the box bottom (box tray).

Inside, the kit is factory new. All of the factory cardboard presentation material is present and grades from 'mint' to 'excellent++.' The kit has never been started. It has been carefully inventoried 100% complete with all parts, paperwork, instructions, plans and decals. Amazingly, the celluloid plastic parts range from no warping to very slight warping (on two of the nacelles). This is very rare, as that type of plastic was unstable and warp easily over time. Before injection molded plastic kits were common, Monogram issued the famous 'Speedee-Bilt' and 'Super Kits' which featured injection molded details and precarved wooden parts. Of these, the Speede-Bilt B-24 and B-17 were the finest. These kits are very rare today due to their relatively high original price of $4.95. This kit must be shipped insured.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

The small parts are still sealed in the factory bag and the parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete, including instructions and excellent decals. Lincoln was based in Hong Kong. Plastic kits were not the primary business, but they established quite a line of them before discontinuing production in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Many molds moved to Kader, also in Hong Kong, who reissued the line. Many molds eventually found their way to the USA either through ATP (who purchased the excess kit stock when Kader sold out) or IM.

Planes have some tape on the back holding the overhead fuselage view in; it is done so well you can't tell unless you turn the plans over. Bill Wonacott drew the excellent plans. Little is known about Falcon Model Airplane Company. But thanks to Dusty Rhodes, we know that they were around as early as 1932 and actively advertising in Popular Aviation with a good sized add. Headquartered at 9610 Division Street, Portland, Oregon, they had a line of flying model kits and eventually solids. The bigger ships in the flying line appear to be quite deluxe, featuring dummy engines, aluminum spun cowlings and for power "The Prime Mover," a new gearless rubber power system that claims to double the flight endurance. Models in 1932 included the Monocoupe 10, Lockheed Orion (both $2.25) and a smaller line of 9" wingspan kits at 50 cents each, featuring the P-6E Hawk, Akron Fighter (Sparrowhawk), A-8 Attack, Gee Bee Racer, Lockheed Vega, Spad, SE-5, Hawker Fury, Curtiss Helldiver, Boeing P-12C, Ben Howard Racer, Lockheed Sirius, Fokker D-VII and Albatross D-III. Falcon eventually moved to Long Beach, CA.
