Rare. Classic early 1950s kit. Made of solid Western Pine - not balsa. Builds up to an impressive display model. Kit includes fuselage, wings, elevators, rudder all cut to shape, wood filler, cement mix, sandpaper and a small parts bag with propeller, wheels, etc. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are lifting and the plans are intact but stained. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them.

Large and highly detailed kit with 229 parts. Of the Zara class, the Gorizia was lucky to not take part in the disaster of Cape Matapan, where her three sisters, Zara, Pola and Fiume were sunk at very close range by the Warspite. Gorizia did not survive the war, however. When German forces took her over, she was sunk by an attack from British and Italian frogmen. These ships were very fast at 32 knots and well armed with 8 x 8" guns. Never started. Factory sealed bags with decals and instructions.

Very rare Monogram/Mattel kit for use with many 1/48 aircraft kits that have the special "Skystick" markings on the box top. When the built model was affixed to the Skystick, the 'pilot' could perform dives, climbs, turns and spin action while the 'instrument panel' reflected his pitch and roll attitudes with a pointer. Dated 1967 but likely from the later 1960s since this is a softbox issue. Very rare model of the ship that was reportedly blown up in Havana Harbor, which lead to the Spanish American War. Built kit measures 17 inches long. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. Please note that 5 small guns and the flagstaff are white plastic while the rest of the kit is gray. The parts are correct but are from a later issue of this model.

Rare first issue from around 1953/54. Nicely made kit molded in silver and dark blue and real rubber tires. Includes decals for either a gas or dairy truck. The tanker section has opening valve box doors and valve piping. The cab has detailed suspension, engine, interior and opening hood as well as an operating fifth wheel so you can disconnect the trailer from the cab. The kit has never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory 'crinkle' bag. Includes decals and instructions in excellent condition.

This model is an exact copy of the Richard Garrett and Sons Ltd Pendel Princess, which survived the steam era to become a museum piece. The original was built in 1919 and was 7 tons. It produced 4 horsepower and reached about 6 mph. Molded in white, brown, red, yellow, gold plate, black, clear, clear tinted in red, light blue and green, and with real rubber tires, rubber tubing and several metal parts. Includes full pinstripe decals.
