Three of the product lines were 'Kwik-Fix' gliders, 'Super Truscale' (sold kits) and 'Tru-Flite' (stick and tissue kits). This Tru-Flite kit contains high quality printwood and strip wood, hardware, rubber, beautifully drawn full size plans, detailed instructions and plastic wheels, prop and thrust bearing. Fantastic Cold-War artwork on this early issue. The Ethan Allen was the lead submarine of her class. These George Washington Class replacements had 16 tubes as before, but could carry the Polaris A-1, A-2 and A-3. Classic large (24" long) SSBN kit actual fires Polaris Missiles from the hull launch tubes. Starboard hull halve hinges down to reveal full interior detail for each compartment. Highly detailed and well molded. The kit has not been started. Inside the small parts are still sealed in the factory bag and the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried 100% complete. Includes instructions, parts sheet and decals.

From 1969. One of the finest wood and metal car kits ever produced. The car measures 7 inches long when assembled. The kit is very highly detailed. Features complete engine, exhaust, suspension and drive line - the kit builds up a rolling chassis just like the actual automobile. There are many cast metal parts- springs, horn, brake lever, steering wheel, flywheel, cowl lamps, steering knuckles, wheels, radiator, radiator screen, louvered hood, fenders and more. The engine itself is 17 parts. The tires are real rubber. The wood parts are either pre-shaped or on printwood with some stock metal and wood materials. Includes clear windows, pre-cut convertible top material, two large sheets of full size plans, a sheet of photo taken of the completed model, detailed instructions, a hardwood display stand and more. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one small spark plug cover and two clear headlight lenses. I have included thick, clear plastic for making the lenses. The other spark plug cover is present to use as a pattern. The parts that were internal factory sealed are still sealed, and all other parts have been inventoried present including instructions and plans. Scientific may have planned an extensive line of these uniquely detailed kits - however, this was the only one ever issued. The very steep price of 12.95 in 1969 was probably more than enough to ensure a short production run and termination of the idea. Scientific Model Airplane Company was founded by John D. Frisoli of Newark, N.J. He started the business in a 12 foot square store in the 1940s. By 1952 John had sales of plane, boat & race car kits and accessories totaling about $200,000 annually.

Much of the hardwood is located below the tray. The kit has never been started. This kit is from Airfix molds and is one of the MPC 'Bonus' features series. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. The model is missing the customizing parts (chrome plated bombs, missiles, prop, exhaust, air scoops, antenna and guns), but includes the stock and customizing decals and the clear modular display stand. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models. NOTE: the missile pylons and nose probe have been painted silver. There has been no other assembly. Includes all aircraft parts but missing chrome accessory 'Bonus' parts tree. With decals and instructions.

Older box art version. Rare and very large close-to-1/72 Aeroflot 'Hook'. For KVZ this is a very well done kit with recessed and raised detail, full glass for the windows and a large and colorful decal sheet including the side striping. Could be made Russian Army but you must furnish your own red stars and numbers. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. One fuselage has a crack and a small section of the tail broken away. The small part is there and both repairs would be simple.
