Still factory sealed. 1970s very large scale kit with 54 inch wingspan. For rubber or gas free flight or RC (radio control). This is a reissue of a much older Comet kit. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, high-quality balsa pre-cut stringers, balsa printwood, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, tissue and propeller. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

The airplane bounces around on a sprung wire stand. Comical 'Air Farce' and 'Recycled Pollution' stickers are included. Thanks to sound engineering from Monogram, this kit works flawlessly when built correctly.

Dated 1988. Very nicely molded and detailed model of this light-weight racer which took part in the 1902 Paris-Vienna race. After the race, it was brought to England were a tonneau body was fitted for touring. The racing was retained and they could be switched out at the owner's preference. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one of four very small, round wheel hubs. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions.

Kit includes both models. The Avro was one of the first British aircraft and the Curtiss Golden Flyer was the Speed trophy winner at Reims in France. These are unique and accurate kits. The original internal frame structure and details of the aircraft is built from injection molded plastic. When complete, it is covered with a very strong fabric which is included. The result is a very realistic aircraft. Never started. NOTE: the Avro Triplane is still in the factory sealed bag, but the Curtiss Golden Flyer is missing (2) #30 wing skids (easily made from stock material) and #19, the prop. Inventoried with all other parts, instructions and Aeroskin.

This is the 'Young Model Builders Club' box issue. The kit inside has not been started. All parts and paperwork is still sealed in the internal factory bag. This issue is from 1972 - this kit was first released in 1969. In the late 1960s Aurora went to great lengths in improve new kit quality. This is one of those kits; as a result, it is well detailed and to scale. Kit features retracting forward and aft hydrofoils, detailed dual .50 caliber machine guns, 40mm gun and gunner and 81mm Mortar, interior cabin details and clear windows, 5 other crew members and a display stand.

Ideal builder as the box is only 'Good' condition. First issue of this legendary kit. 1968 model includes realistic electric 'Jet Sound'. When you open the box, the white printed cardboard display presentation is still present and excellent. There is no yellow overlay with cellophane; this was likely removed by the first owner. The instructions, B-52 Book and decals are present and in very good condition. There are two sets of decals; the originals are cracked, so there is also an identical set from a early 1970s issue. Kit does not include the glue. Contains 207 parts. Very nicely detailed. Features crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine.
