Kit includes all parts needed to build either the stock, custom or racing versions. The engine halves have been assembled. Quality of assembly is excellent - no gaps and no visible glue. There is no other assembly and no painting. The kit has never been started. First issue dated 1965 in the 'Four Star' hardbox. Like all Monogram car kits, this one is very nicely molded and detailed. Features highly detailed V8 engine, hinged hood, retractable headlamps whitewall tires and full interior. Molded in ivory, clear, black, chrome and with real rubber tires. Never started. NOTE: missing B21, a small front axle clamp (lower control arm). Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions.

Still factory sealed. Very high quality kit of the classic Aristocrat of all American Built Cars. The SJ was powered by a supercharged 320 straight 8. The power plant muscled the 153.5 inch long chassis from 1-100 mph in 17 seconds and could top 104 mph in second gear. The kit is molded in black, clear, chrome, rubber and white. It features a highly detailed rolling chassis and engine, removable hood and full interior detail. Although the box is sealed, I have graded it fair because there is extensive litho damage to one long side.

Please read the article on this website about older HO train kits and the modeling revolution they caused in the late 1930s/1940s. During the golden era of realistic train models, La Belle Woodworking Company created perhaps the very finest scale kits of early American passenger equipment. The kit features die cut hardwood parts (no balsa) such as pre-cut and scribed sides with all windows (including arches) factory cut, car ends done in the same fashion, carved clerestory roof, tinted clear clerestory window material, working end diaphragms, underside details, metal details, building instructions and full size plans. I have seen these models built and they look identical to the real prototypes. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, sealed smaller details and plans.
