Large and highly detailed kit. After the Titanic was found, many modelers and historians corrected numerous details of this famous ship. Mincraft followed by modifying the molds of the classic 1/350 kit to include many of these corrections. Photoetched railings and rat lines were added also. The model is over 30 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Just about every aftermarket photo-etched accessory you can imagine is available for this kit (I recommend the ones from Tom's Modelworks and Perry's Gold Medal Models), so you can create a museum masterpiece if you wish.

2006 reissue of this large Ex-Aurora kit from 1961. The kit has 305 parts and is over 33 inches long when assembled. Could be converted R/C since the original kit from Aurora was motorized. (Radio Control parts not included). Features moving elevators, twin Sea Sparrow launchers, deck tugs, display stand, detailed island structure, large updated airwing including the following new F-14 Tomcat, A-6E Intruder, A-7 Corsair II, SH-3C SeaKing, RA-5C Vigilante and E-2C Hawkeye, extensive decals for the ship, aircraft and more. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. Very highly detailed large scale kit. Graupner is well known for detailed, scale kits and this one is no exception. As the instructions state: 'The model is built in the same manner as the original ship. In practically all points the plans closely follow the design of the Osebergship.' The main parts are made of lime, pine, beech and ply print wood. Other parts are made from cotton yarn and linen. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, English instruction book, German instructions book and full size plans. The plans have insect damage but are fully usable. NOTE: like most all Graupner kits, this one has an optional fittings set which must be purchased separately. This kit includes the fittings kit with oars, cleats, tackle and blocks. However, there are no shields. Box is complete but graded 'poor' due to heavy wear as shown.

Very nicely molded kit with good surface details. Features injection molded struts, wheels and props, full size plans and decals. Never started. NOTE: missing decals. Inventoried with all parts and instructions. The Pe-8 was a famous and successful USSR heavy bomber that was designed in 1934 and first flown in 1936. Since the USSR did not have a definitive heavy bomber doctrine, only between 81 and 93 were built, but they lead active service lives. In use, the PE-8s performance matched Western Heavy Bombers designed during the same time. In August of 1941, PE-8s bombed Berlin. They were used to attack long range targets in German-held Eastern Europe, as well as for tactical support during the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk. It was a PE-8 that flew over German airspace between May 19th and June 13th in 1942 to deliver USSR Foreign Minister Molotov and his delegation from Moscow to London and then to Washington DC and back for talks on grand strategy against Nazi Germany. As a testament to the soundness of the design, PE-8s remained in service till the 1950s, even after the Tu-4 was available.
