1960 hardbox issue. This classic kit is a reissue of the 'S' kit from the 1950s, and is one of the last issues to include the fuel truck and engine check stand with ground crew member. The box is solid with four perfect corners, very good color and gloss but wear as shown. The kit has never been started. 1956 'S' issue with the fantastic box art that these kits were famous for. The box is in exceptional 'excellent ++' condition. The box displays 'near mint++' with color and gloss are like new and four solid corners corners. It is graded lower, however, because there are small sections of tape on each long side and one very small tape pull on one side. Instructions are near mint; decals are stunning with only the slightest tint of yellow. The model has not been started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

The compressed air was mixed with fuel in a combustion chamber behind the piston engine and ignited.
