One of two Blue Box issues with this same part number; the difference is in the color and complexity of the main text.

Rare 1975 Japan issue with unique and beautiful box artwork and a superb "Excellent+' condition box. As with most Japan issues, this one contains extra decals for a total of two aircraft. There is also a large, full color painting on the front of the instructions. Well detailed large scale kit of the British night fighter with airborne interception radar. The Beaufighter was flown by aces such like Flt./Lt. "Cat's Eyes" Cunningham, whose markings are included. His final score stood at 20 victories and his aircraft is one that can be depicted in this model. Kit features detailed Bristol Hercules engines, removable cowling, two flight crew, optional position landing gear, full crew cockpits and radar antenna. The kit has never been started. The parts are still sealed in the internal factory bag. Includes decals and instructions. My friend and model builder Stephen Payne high recommends that the purchaser of any Beaufighter Night Fighter model invests in a copy of the book "Night Fighter" by C.F. Rawnsley. Rawnsley was John Cunningham's Airborne Intercept radar operator throughout WWII in both Beaufighters and Mosquitoes. The book is the story of their time and combat together and makes excellent reading.

First release 1953 hardbox pre 'S' kit and the first ship model that Revell cut their own molds for. Earlier Revell ship releases were Ex-Gowland and Gowland molds for the small scale sailing ship series. It has been reported that this kit was so popular for so long that it was the best selling Revell ship model of all time. This box is in 'Very Good+' condition which is rare. Color is very good, all four corners are solid & original, there are no price tags or tag marks and no fading or creases. The main flaw is the tape pull visible just under turret #1. Beyond that the box does have general wear, especially on the edges. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct medium gray. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals, flag sheet and instructions. The early style flag sheet is in 'very good+' condition and the instructions are the correct 'large format' ones for this issue and in 'very good++' condition with the typical age yellowing. Please note that Revell did not furnish decals with this issue.

Still factory sealed. Rare model of this fantastic, late 1930's Dutch Fighter. It was a good as anything the Luftwaffe had at that time, but it had not entered mass production when the invasion hit. Few were available but they performed well. Some saw service as captured aircraft with the Luftwaffe. Very nicely molded with fine recessed panel lines, brass photoetched parts and beautifully cast resin details. Has a very nicely detailed cockpit and injection molded canopy. This is the only injection molded plastic kit every made in this scale of this Japanese ASW aircraft. The Stella was a STOL aircraft much in the sense of the Fi-156, but the performance was superior in every way. Horsepower was almost 30% greater and fowler flaps were fitted and synchronized with variable incidence horizontal tail surfaces for dramatic STOL performance. The ship was easy to fly and found favor in all theaters as a communications aircraft. In 1942, seven Stella were placed on the Akitsu Maru and used as ASW aircraft. Well molded kit with photoetched parts and markings for three aircraft. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
