Hard to find kit from the late 1950s with great box art by Howard W. Arnold. The Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. Wonderful boxart by Russell W. Arnold. The Paddy is molded in light blue, includes two figures, vacuform billowing sails, a display stand, hanging lanterns and rigging instructions. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels/props, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in life rafts. NOTE: the aircraft has not been started but the two 'survivors' and their raft have been assembled and painted. Quality of work is 'excellent.' There is no other assembly or painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: instructions are quality photocopies of the original. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
