Revell of Germany issue from 1982. Older but nice kit of the last WWII carrier class with the original 'Straight Deck.' Has John Steele artwork from the 'Picture Fleet' series. Full hull model features detailed island, air wing including Skyraiders, Corsairs, Cougars and helicopters, nicely engraved flight deck, stand, decals and flags. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. NOTE: (3) of the folded wing Cougars have broken off tails or elevators. The others are intact. Although designed for the Pacific battles, the Midway and her sisters did not see service in WWII. The Midway was the first surface ship to launch a ballistic missile. She and her sisters served proudly in the post-war years until replaced by the super-carriers.

Large 1/48 scale version. The B-35 was the successor of the beautiful B-534 biplane fighter. Although development was on schedule and promising, the prototyped crashed in an accident in November of 1938. A second prototype was built and flown in January of 1939. High speed was 480 km/hr with a 550 km range. However, Germany occupied Czechoslovakia shortly after this and the aircraft was not able to play a role in it's defense. Very high quality kit with all injection molded details and vacuformed main airframe parts. The vac parts are of higher quality than many injection molded kits and feature very crisp moldings and recessed panel lines. Kit features good cockpit detail, highly detailed full size drawings, painting guide and decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

1991 Revell-Monogram issue from original quality Monogram molds. Features detailed cockpit and machine gun bay, removable gun hatch, optional position canopy, detailed gear wells, removable tail section with detailed turbojet engine (aft section), a stand for the rear fuselage section and more. The P-80 (later F-80) was the first operational jet fighter for the USA. F-80s played key rolls in the Berlin Airlift and the Korean War. The two seater (available as a Hawk kit) was used as a trainer long after the Shooting Star left service.
