Rare early Revell kit from 1955. Very well molded and detailed kit contains everything you need for the western diorama on the box top- nine animals, six cowboys, fence, saddle, pail, packs, rifle, skull, wagon wheel and more. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed 'krinkle' bag and includes instructions. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lew Glasser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also.

Rare 1950s issue with very colorful box art and box design. This one is unusually complete and it includes the pink Quality Inspection Slip, green tube of glue (dried up, of course) and metal nose weight; usually one or all of three of these are missing. The model features pilot bust, clear canopy, full landing gear, drop tanks, metal nose weight and the large Frog round base display stand. Molded in a very light blue-green and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Long hardbox issue dated 1966. In those days, it was said by reviewers that Aurora made the best tank kits - this one is no exception. Features all moving bogies and drive wheels, flexible black treads, elevating main gun, rotating turret, one tankman, three soldiers and decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The parts and instructions are originals from 1966; however, the decals are from the mid 1970s issue. NOTE: the diagonal light 'scratch' on the box top is spots of missing litho where an old rubber band was removed. The rubber band had decayed and stuck to the box top.

Very rare and especially in this condition. The airplane has never been removed from the box and is still held in with the factory ties. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags and in the left 'Additional Parts' panel. The outside box is in 'very good++ condition with only light wear and small creases. This is a rare, early electric U-Control model from 1995. Cox was often innovative in it's flying models and this one was no exception. Features large-scale Bearcat that is fully factory assembled, 'Touch And Go' D handle that includes an on-off power switch for the aircraft, all U-control hardware and gear, quiet electric motor, 9.6V battery pack and battery charger. Very rare and from the mid 1930s to the early 1940s. This is a Cleveland 'D' or dwarf kit. The term 'Dwarf' is just a bit deceptive, as it is Cleveland's designation for 1/24 scale. Most Cleveland kits were designated 'SF' or Scale Flying - 1/16 scale. The Dwarf kits were needed to fill a market demand for smaller flying models. All Cleveland kits were exceptionally complete and Dwarfs were no exception, containing very high quality balsa printwood, stringers & spars, fully formed wheels, covering tissue, a wood propeller that is about 90% carved and just needs final sanding, gray rigging thread (if required), metal and balsa stock as required and more. With Cleveland's famous high-quality plans. While the box has significant wear, the kit inside is still 'factory tissue sealed.' When the Cleveland workers packed each kit, they wrapped them in tissue that effectively made a seal which has not been disturbed. Whoever buys it will be the first one to see the contents since it was packed in the factory over 90 years ago. Cleveland Model and Supply Company played a pivotal role in the development of true scale models. In 1909 Bleriot's English Channel flight caused a surge in aviation and model aircraft around the globe. Several companies were ideally positioned to take advantage of the aviation craze. In the USA, Wading River Manufacturing Co. (1909), White Aeroplane (1911), Ideal Model Aeroplane (1911), Broadfield Model Aeroplanes (1919) were among these pioneers, offering everything from plans and parts to complete kits and ARF models. Lindbergh's 1927 crossing of the Atlantic Ocean caused an even bigger world-wide phenomenon called "The Aviation Craze" that extended up to the start of World War II. Many companies such as Megow, Guillow's and others started right around the time of Lindbergh's flight. Some of these models flew and flew well, but they all had one thing in common - were generally not accurate scale representations. In 1929, a youngster named Ed Packard had a very advanced dream- to produce incredibly accurate, true scale models that flew perfectly. This radical idea established the world's longest running single-owner (77 years) model airplane supply business - Cleveland Model and Supply Company. To this day, Cleveland models are treasured as the most accurate flying scale models produced. The fact that Mr. Packard started and successfully grew this business during The Great Depression is a testament to his ideals and business skill. I highly suggest the excellent book called 'Aviation's great Recruiter - Cleveland's Ed Packard' by H.L. (Herm) Schreiner. It is an excellent history of the man, his company and the times of the Golden Age of Model Aviation.

Rare early 1960s model from the original 1950s Adams molds. Well molded and detailed for that time featuring a display base, sandbags, elevating gun, moving trails, radio, shell casings, full shells, ammo box and crew of 5 in-action G.I.s. Molded in dark olive drab plastic. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. These molds must have had a very interesting history. They were cut in 1955 or 1956, either at Adams or by one of Revell's contractors. It appeared to be part of the Adams/Revell 1/40 line but Revell never issued the kit - they did issue their own 105mm howitzer, but it was completely different. The famous HO model train manufacturer Athearn then purchased the Adams molds. Ahtearn used the name SNAP for all plastic kit releases and slightly modified the molds by adding their name (SNAP) & logo to a part (or two) of each kit. This 105mm Gun Emplacement kit is made in the USA but is actually a SNAP export to Canada; the importer was 'International Games of Canada Limited' in 'New Toronto Ontario.' They used a silver overprint to block out the kit number and pric extension and then added '#152 in Canada $1.59'. Then UPC (Universal Power Master) either leased or purchased (probably the former) the Adams molds from SNAP in the 1960s. While most UPC kits say 'Made in Japan' the ex-Adams models do not and say 'Made in USA'. Things get even more interesting with the Life-Like issue. How Life-Like came across the molds is unfortunately unknown but it may have been in a bulk purchase of molds from Athearn since there were in the same general part of the country. This is simply conjecture, however.

Rare early issue. Nicely detailed and includes all parts needed to build one of three versions - factory stock, Gene Winfield Custom and parade. There are very slight tire burns on the backs of the figures arms.

Rare early issue copyright dated 1956; please note the Northern Lights rectangular logo at the lower right. The box art is by the famous Jo Kotula. Inside, this kit is 100% correct with the early West Hempstead rectangular-base display stand, early decal sheet and even the instructions have this early stand illustrated. However, the instructions also have the Famous Fighters oval! That would make this kit late 1956/early 1957 right when Aurora was transitioning to the FF logo and just about to blot out the rectangle 'Northern Lights' logo. Molded in correct silver and clear plastic. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The box might grade slightly higher than 'excellent' but it rated as such because there is a factory tape pull about 3/4 x 1/4 inch on the long lower side.
