Rare. 1966 dated hardbox in outstanding 'near mint' condition. The color and gloss is like new. Has four solid, original corners, no tape or price tags, no tape or tag marks, no litho damage or fading and no creases. The only flaw is a small amount of very light general wear. This is one of Aurora's later kits with improved mold quality. Features full hull, detailed flight deck, complete interior hangar deck, movable hangar deck doors, 6 Sea Knight and 6 Sea King helicopters, deck guns, display stand and full color decals with flag. Hard to find 1/48 scale armor kit with an exceptionally nice box. John Steel art is dated 1963 and the hardbox has like-new color and gloss, four perfect corners, no tape or tape marks, no tags or tag marks, no fading or tears. Very light general wear is the only flaw. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing figures and (1) of (4) drive sprockets. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present.

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade condition. The box has the instructions and a colorful 'Identification Card' (like a trading card) for the F6F. Late 1950s or early 1960s issue with Ray Gaedke artwork. The kit number is 424:X9. I can't read the 'X' because the factory blacked out the price suffix. The original molds were cut by Trim Model Products in the early to mid 1950s. Trim sold them in bags or in hard-boxes, then sold the molds to Lindberg in the early 1960s.
