Rare Playcraft Issue in excellent condition. Color and gloss are 'excellent', all four corners are solid, there are no price tag or tag marks, no fading and no litho loss or tears. The flaws are very small amounts of clear tape on both long sides and general light wear as shown. This kit was also issued as 'Steve Canyon' Air Force Pilot. Very desirable large-scale model with 'Famous Fighters' sunburst logo. Dated 1957. If you look closely, the artwork is the first issue F8U Crusader with the Air Force pilot placed in the foreground. Well detailed large 1/8 scale kit includes all pilot equipment and display base. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Please note that decals did not come with this issue.

1979 Revell Advent issue. Kit is over 20 inches long and includes a one piece hull, SBD scout-bombers, moving cranes, detailed island structure and a partial hanger decks where you can display aircraft. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals, flag sheet and instructions. If you are curious, this kit is actually different from the Revell 1/490 CV-5 Yorktown and Hornet kits of the same era. The Yorktown differences include the bridge catwalk, island searchlight platforms, number of search lights, small boat configuration and radar. CV-6 has a combat record unequaled in history of the US Navy and is considered the most Successful Warship in History. Her totals were as follows: 20 Battle Stars, 911 Aircraft Destroyed and 71 Ships Sunk. She took part in almost every major action of the Pacific war from 1941 to 1945. The fascinating history of this ship is told by Commander Edward P. Stafford, USN, in his legendary book 'The Big E - The Story of the USS Enterprise.'

1957 hardbox issue. Please note that this is an earlier issue with 'Famous Fighters' in the oval border of the Aurora logo. Small scale kit with dramatic Jo Kotula box artwork. Nicely molded kit with clear canopy, full landing gear and display stand. This is a model of the very early YF-102 prototype with the straight (non-area rule) fuselage. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Around this time, Aurora issued a series of inexpensive (usually 29 cent) small scale kits that were designed to sell at almost any type of retail location. The line was successful and further expanded - when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, they fit in nicely with this established line.
