The 'Ace Whitman' name was used by Joe Ott for some of his marketed kits. This model is a solid display model from 1952 and features an 80% precarved fuselage, die cut parts, full size plans and a stapled bag of detail parts (probably wheels). This is the USAF version of the very large Navy Skywarrior A-3 or "Whale" as the carrier crews and flight crews called it due to it's large size for a carrier aircraft. 1996 reissue of the 1950s kit from the original molds. This kit was one in a series of famous Willy Ley Space Models including the Orbital Rocket, Space Taxi and TV Orbiter.
