Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Mint
Still factory sealed. Dated 1961. The Convair 880 and it's near sister 990 were very high performance airliners. Unfortunately they did not find favor with commercial operators. Only 65 880s were produced from 1959 to 1962. The aircraft was designed to be smaller and faster than the DC-8 and 707 - this market did not develop, however, and if it did it could have been served with less expensive designs. The 990 was a larger and faster (mach .91) airliner, but it failed to meet it's range criteria for east to west crossings of the USA. As a result, only 37 were made. Interestingly enough, several 990s continued to be operated by private owners and NASA operated two 990s for decades after the last 990 was phased out of commercial service.

Rare first issue dated 1959. One of a very famous series of space kits that Monogram made with the designer Willey Ley. The model is molded in three colors and features a two stage rocket with separating stages, upper shuttle craft, retracting landing gear, launching pad and five figures. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good+++
One of Monogram's first plastic kit Gift Sets. Issued once in 1957 and very rare. Please read the condition of each kit carefully as there is some assembly. 'Hot Rod' is assembled and complete other than thin, flat windshield. Missing instructions. The 'Indy Car' is complete but has minor assembly to the engine block and some small details are painted silver; decals are excellent but instructions are missing. Midget Racer has not been started and is complete, including good instructions and decals. The box has wonderful color but wear as shown.
Wood Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+
Dated 1954. This is the finest H4 Liberator that I have seen. The box has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners and only light general wear. The inside is like new also. Classic early multi-media kit with a fantastic internal box presentation. Before injection molded plastic kits were common, Monogram issued the famous 'Speedee-Bilt' and 'Super Kits' which featured injection molded details and precarved wooden parts. Of these, the Speedee-Bilt B-24 and B-17 were the finest. These kits are rare today due to their relatively high original price of $4.95. This example is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, glue, dope, decals, sand paper, plans and instruction book. The kit has never been started. Still has all internal packing as shown. Amazingly, the celluloid plastic parts range from no warping to very slight warping. This is very rare, as that type of plastic was unstable and warped easily over time. Instructions, decals and plans are 'near mint' also, as are the parts sheets. No wooden parts have been punched out. This kit must be shipped insured.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good+

Fantastic 1950s kit in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. Features all high-quality hardwood main parts, clear plastic canopy, full color decals, glue, wood filler, sandpaper and special display stand. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - you only had to glue, sand and paint to finish them.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good+
One of the finest motor yacht kits ever made. From the late 1950s. Features very good detail and 225 parts. Measures approximately 30" long, 10" high and 8 inches wide when assembled. Can be made for radio control or as a highly detailed static model. This is the finest example of this model that I have had. The outer box is very good with some wear but has perfect color and shine. The model has never been started. This kit is in mint condition inside - all parts are still in the factory sealed bags. The very large instructions/plans are mint also. Molded with cast metal accessories, metal and brass hardware and classic 1950s turquoise, brown, white, clear and peach colored and chrome plated plastic. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

1957 original 'S' issue with the fantastic box art that has made these kits so famous and collectible. Molded in the correct gloss silver and with the clear Revell 'Globe' Swivel Display Stand. Nicely molded kit features optional position cargo door, refueling boom, optional position landing gear and a moving rudder. Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+
One of the first three Revell aircraft molds issued in 1953. This kit is correct with no rivets and no landing gear. Instructions are printed on the back of the box. Complete with the unique stand that was only issued with these three kits and the gift set of these kits. This box is in excellent condition, complete with all end flaps and has not been crushed - usually these thin one-piece boxes are in very bad condition. Box has never been repaired. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present. Please note that this kit is different from the 'Pre-S' issue in the following ways: no rivet detail, almost no panel lines, different part numbers, pilots are a part of the fuselage (busts only), one piece wings and absence of the pods at the half-wingspan line, no landing gear and no holes for such, very early 'Colortone' logo decals and a silver, two piece plastic stand of a unique design that was not used again.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc++++
First issue hardbox. 1954 Pre 'S' classic box art by Richard Kishady. Molded in correct high-gloss white plastic and clear plastic. Kit features optional position landing gear and cockpit hatch, boarding ladder and pilot in the boxart pose. Includes clear "Revelving' swivel globe base. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+++
1954 issue. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear, with the 'Revelving' Swivel Base. The kit has never been started and is inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The small parts are still in the factory bag but it is opened. The decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition. The box has only very light wear as shown. This is the third release. The first issue was in the simple one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, and went to this box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but the 2nd issue has the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflecting that. The 3rd issue (this kit) is identical to the 2nd issue except that the 'Globe' stand was changed to the sturdy 3 piece arm version.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: NM
1957 first issue 'S' kit in 'Near Mint' investment-grade condition. The box top has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no fading, a very neat original "Topps" department store price tag on one short side, no tape (other than the factory sealing tape), no marks from tags or tape and one very light crease that did not even show up in the photo. The only flaws are very, very light wear. Large scale, detailed kit with movable prop, wheels, control stick, detailed engine, removable cowling, complete cockpit, realistic rigging material, complete rigging instructions and three crew members. Molded in the correct red. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'very good++' condition decals and 'excellent' instructions.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++
1954 Pre 'S' issue. Second release of these molds in the wider box. The first issue is in a much narrower box. This is the first kit that Revell actually cut it's own molds for. Kits previous to this were marketed from other companies, such as Gowland & Gowland. It is said that the Missouri was the most profitable kit that Revell ever produced. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/flag sheet and instructions present.
