From 1991. Very highly detailed kit. Superbly molded with all very fine recessed panel lines. Features very highly detailed cockpit and landing gear wells, drop tank, separately molded leading edge slats and split flaps, multiple piece canopy and a very large and detailed decal sheet for five North African and Sicily based aircraft. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora 1903 Rambler Old Timers, 1/16, 575-198

1963 first issue of Aurora's 'Super Detailed Museum Model with Plated Parts.' Done in a big 1/16 scale, this kit and the other 'Old Timers' in the series represented a significant leap forward in quality for Aurora. The kit features full engine, transaxle and driveline detail, full interior, complete suspension and steering linkage, exhaust and more. Molded in gloss yellow, gloss black and with brass plated parts and real rubber tires. Never started. NOTE: Missing one fender support, which is simply a bent cylinder. I have included the correct diameter of wire so you can make your own. Otherwsie inventoried with all other parts and instructions. Aurora was renowned for turning a profit and for keeping expenses down. In researching new kit subjects, they came upon a forgotten jewel - the Hudson Miniatures line of 1/16 scale wooden kits. Hudson had discontinued this line due to lack of sales of wooden kits. But the Hudson models were second to none in quality, research and documentation. Aurora was quick to realize this and used the research and layout from these kits to create the subjects for this 'Old Timers' series. It is fortunate for us that they did, because in most cases this is the only injection molded kit of these rare and classic early automobiles.

Athearn Ranch Wagon - (ex-Miniature Masterpiece / ex-Revell / Ex- Adams / Ex-Life-Like / ex-UPC), 1/48, K232-49

Rare issue from the original 1955 molds. Very highly detailed model includes wagon, accessories, base, four mules and two figures. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts. Includes instructions in excellent condition. This kit certainly has an interesting history. 'Miniature Masterpieces' was formed through an alliance of Lou Glasser (Revell) and Steve Adams (Adams Action Models) in 1953. Although the molds were made at Adams and it had the appearance of an independent company, the firm was run by Revell down to the prototypes being made at the Revell plant. Originally there was no evidence of the parent company on the surface. The State Coach of England was the first kit, issued in 1953. More kits of excellent quality followed. Revell completely took over the line in 1954 and in that year and the next, kits were labeled 'Revell' with a 'Miniature Masterpiece' label on the box top also. At some point soon after that Adams also released this kit. The Athearn release used the exact same Adams box art and simply swapped logos. Eventually these molds ended up being leased or contracted by UPC and in the end Life-Like purchased them.

From 1963. Large scale kit with full vacuform sails and rigging instructions. Full hull kit with display stand and very good detail for that time. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals, 'excellent++' condition sails and instructions.

ITC German Graf Spee 'Pocket Battleship' Heavy Cruiser - Ringo Issue, 1/350, C-581-200

Large 1/350 scale full hull kit. ITC issued this kit in 1961 and capitalized off the success of the movie about the Spee; however, ITC discontinued all larger plastic models in 1962 which makes this kit hard to find. When this happened, there was still a warehouse full of kits. ITC cleared out these kits under the name 'Ringo.' The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions.

Revell Harley Custom Show Bike / Motorcycle, 1/25, C1163

Rare. Contains one complete motorcycle kit. Early to mid 1960s 'Custom Car Parts' issue in a very narrow box with a header for hanging. All parts are chrome plated and with rubber tires. Never used and complete with all parts. Please NOTE that one rim is loose but present; the outer edges have tire burn marks. NOTE: the instructions, which are normally on the back of the box are missing.

The actual model is from new molds and is a very nice full-hull kit. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Pyro The Independence War Schooner, C373-298

Nicely detailed kit of a rare subject. Features full hull, complete deck detail, cannon, blocks, vac billowing sails, flags, display stand, rigging material and full rigging instructions. Kit is about 15 inches long when built. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including flags and instructions. NOTE: instructions are quality photocopies. The box shows much better than the 'poor' grade but is graded as such due to severe damage on the right side and missing sections of the top side panel. The kit inside is like new, however. The 'Independence' type Top Sail Schooners were built at the famous shipyards of Webb and Allen during the early 1800s. Ten clippers of this type were built for the US Government to enforce and collect revenue duties. The extreme rake of the masts with the added square sails on the top foremast made them fast and very maneuverable with a small crew. The War Schooners were very light vessels - only 73 feet long with a 20 foot beam and of 112 displacement. The bulwarks were cut out with more gun ports than guns to help lighten the ship. The armament consisted of two 9 pounders and four 6 pounders, which were shifted around the deck to fire from different gun ports and the need required.

From 1966. This is one of a wonderful and extensive line of 1/48 car kits from Renwal that include a clear showcase. Perfect as a stand-alone model or for use in 1/48 dioramas and O Scale train layouts. Renwal did an excellent job on engineering and detail with this series. Features full interior, detailed undersides and more. All body and chassis parts are molded in the proper colors as well as clear, chrome and/or brass plated and with real rubber tires. There is no painting required. The instructions include a history of the automobile and on the back is a large fold-out full color display (a small poster) of all 23 available cars. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

Pyro Flintlock Dueling Pistols Matched Set - 1776, 1/1, C229-150

Hardbox issue from about 1966. Very nice full size (1/1 scale) kit including two pistols. Molded in wood brown and gun metal silver. The kit has never been started. The silver parts are still in the factory sealed bag, and the brown parts (which were never factory sealed) have been inventoried 100% complete including instructions. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model is based on actual examples made in 1776 in Charleville, St. Etienne, France. At that time, the Flintlock was the ominous firearm known. It worked on the 'Snaphance' type action in which a flint, held by two jaws of the hammer, snaps forward to spark against the steel of the powder pan at the pull of the trigger. The maximum range of the .65 caliber shot was about 120 feet. At that distance, however, the best you could do is knock your adversary off balance. At 60 to 80 feet, the gun was deadly. Consequently, the number of paces in a duel was decided upon the depth of the insult and the degree of friendliness between the duelers.
