1970s issue from Airfix molds. MPC did a great deal to 'dress up ' this kits for the USA market; it contains the unique 'Modular Display Stand', standard and 'custom' decals and simulated spinning prop 'discs' cut from clear plastic in addition to the regular Airfix props. Features many moving parts: turrets rotate and guns elevate, landing gear retracts/extends, wheels and props turn and all control surfaces move. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in exceptional 'near mint' condition, which is rare with these early MPC kits. Classic first issue from 1964 with the 'Four Star' hardbox. This kit is part of a very successful 1/48 scale line of World War II kits that Monogram issued in the 1960s. Has all parts and decals to build any of the five versions. Will also make two additional versions - Mark IIA and Mark IIB as per the introduction on the instructions. Features a wide variety of guns/bombs/rockets and cannon, retracting landing gear and rotating prop and wheels. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

NOTE: one license plate decal (out of ten total) has some bug damage.

Lindberg Lockheed Vega Winnie Mae - Post's Round the World Record Settting Aircraft, 1/48, 533-98

Original 1950s issue with fantastic Ray Gaedke box art. In 1931, Post and Gatty flew the Vega 'Winnie Mae' around the world in 8 days, 15 hours and 8 minutes for a new world record. In 1933 Post tested a gyroscope automatic pilot and radio direction finder in another record flight lasting 7 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes. This aircraft is now in the Smithsonian Museum. Vegas did see military service, with a few operated by the RAAF, Spanish Republic Air Force, and USAAC. (This kit does not include military decals.) Kit features moving control surfaces, cockpit, rotating prop and wheels and clear display stand. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed. Very nicely molded and detailed kit with 116 parts. Features all fine recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, rotating turrets, separately molded elevators and markings for two aircraft. The Do-24 was being built in Holland under license . When the Germans invaded, they found 3 done and 25 in various states of completion. The Air Ministry was looking for aircraft suitable to salvage sunk aircraft, and the Do-24 fit the bill. The American Wright engines were removed and BMWs installed. The Do-24 went on to see successful service in WWII as recon, supply and ambulance aircraft. A squadron was supplied to Spain, and one Do-24 remained operational until 1970.

AMT-Frog Blackburn Shark Torpedo Bomber - Fleet Air Arm/Canadian/Portugal, 1/72, A605-80

Rare short-lived AMT marketing promo to sell Frog kits in the USA. This model was one of Frog's best efforts for a 1/72 biplane - it is very well detailed. The very sturdy Shark was the final biplane torpedo bomber for the FAA, with 238 delivered after production began in May of 1935. Features decals for three aircraft- British Fleet Air Arm, Portuguese Navy (6 were delivered) and one of the 20 Shark license built by Boeing for Canada. Kit features movable control surfaces, prop, wheels, optional floats or wheeled version and torpedo and bomb loads. With color painting guide. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals have bug damaged. The damage is about 2% of the sheet (98% of the transfers are intact).
