Builds up a rolling chassis just like the real vehicle. Very rare kit from 1959. First and only issue. When Monogram issued the 'US Missile Arsenal-31 Missiles,' the sales were not as expected; interest in missile models quickly peaked then dropped of rapidly. So they soon devised a way to get more money out of the molds. This happened in two ways. The first was the Missile "Bags" and then this Missile Mobile. The mobile is quite large; it measures 18 inches deep and 24 inches across. The Regulus II, Bomarc, Rascal, Matador, Atlas and Snark all hang from heavy printed cardboard cloud cutouts. The missiles are molded in color you did not need to paint them if you wished. The model has not been started. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, 'clouds,' rigging thread and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Purchased new in 1970 Cleveland, OH. Very nicely produced stick-and-tissue glider than is designed for tow line or radio control. Features quality die-cut balsa parts, stripwood and spars, a perfect-condition clear vac canopy, factory-finished hard-wood nose cone, finished wheel, a large, full color decal sheet that includes full side strips as shown, coving tissue and excellent full size plans with detailed instructions. Never started and complete. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling kits to be 'deluxe' as they had the action features and were much nicer than most other kits of this type.

Very rare and early glossy box top issue. Please note the early Tamiya Mokei logo. This tank features motorized drive on the tracks through an all metal gear box. The TKK Mabuchi motor is included and still in the classic early Mabuci box. The motor is still wrapped in the special printed plastic wrapper, and all motor accessories are present as well. The kit has never been started. The inside is like it left the factory- the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags with the color headers, the small parts, glue and still perfectly shiny gear box are in a small sealed bag with header. The decals are 'excellent' and still in a factory sealed bag, while the instructions are in 'near mint' condition. The the two hull parts and treads were never factory sealed; and they are all excellent. Amazingly, the treads are unbroken, supple and 100% intact!

CGN-9 U.S.S. LONG BEACH was the world's first nuclear-powered warship. She was launched in July of 1959 as the lead ship of the first new cruiser class since WWII. Originally designed as an all-missile cruiser, she was later fitted with two 5"/36 caliber guns amidships. After serving more than 33 years, she was decommissioned on 1 May 1995.
