All were roughly the same size and were a significant increase in detail from the '50 Cent Models.' (later called 74 cent models). Kits in the $1.00/$1.25 line (by 1967) included the Skipjack, Cutty Sark, Charles W. Morgan, HMS Bounty, HMS Ark Royal, USS Constellation, British Bomb Ketch, Chinese War Junk, Elsie - Gloucester Fisherman, Henri Grace A'Dieu, Dutch Staten Jacht, Gotta Le Jon and others. 50 Cent/75 Cent kits in 1967 included the Mayflower, Barbary Pirate, USS Constitution, Santa Maria, Golden Hind, Half Moon, Bon Homme Richard, Brig of War, HMS Victory, Flying Cloud, Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria, La Reale French Galley, Venetian Carrack, Roman Merchant, Spanish Galeon and others.

Life-Like Buccaneer Antique Pistol - American circa 1787 Lancaster Pennsylvania - with Wall-Shelf Display Rack, 1/1, G201-200

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

From the 1970s and from original Pyro molds. All of the Life-Like guns were purchased from Pyro. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model is an exact copy of an actual early American pistol that was handmade in the year 1787 by an unknown gunsmith in the vicinity of Lancaster, PA. Most flintlock pistols of this period were carried by US Army officers on horseback. These weapons were unreliable and hard to reload, so they were designed with a heavy stock. After firing it made for a handy club.

Tamiya T55 Soviet Union 36 Ton Medium Tank Motorized, 1/35, MT112

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Very, very rare motorized early issue; please note the high-gloss box art and early Tamiya-Mokei logo. The box displays better than my 'good+' grade. It has excellent gloss, some creases, no tears and no price tags, but it is graded as such because there is old packing tape on the left side and top long side. Highly detailed for that time and designed for motorized operation. Hardware includes a steel and brass gear box, brass drive shafts, other metal drive gears, all wires, battery contacts, reversing switch and more. As usual, the motor is not included but it calls for a TKK Mabuchi 25. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. It has never been started. All the parts that were factory sealed are still sealed and the correct color headers on the bags are excellent. The small motorizing parts and glue are bagged with a header; the all-metal gear box is bright as new, packed with a tiny tube of grease and sealed with a header as well. The the two hull parts and treads were never factory sealed; and they are all excellent. Amazingly, the treads are unbroken, supple and 100% intact! The instructions are 'near mint' and the decals are as well (they are still bag sealed.)

Very rare motorized early issue; please note the high-gloss box art and early Tamiya-Mokei logo. Highly detailed for that time and designed for motorized operation. Hardware includes a steel and brass gear box, brass drive shafts, other metal drive gears, all wires, battery contacts, reversing switch and more. As usual, the motor is not included but it calls for a Mabuchi 25. The box has great gloss and shine, but has significant wear as shown and also a piece of old packing tape on each of the box sides. Inside, the kit is as it left the factory. It has never been started. All the parts that were factory sealed are still sealed and the correct color headers on the bags are excellent. Since the kit was designed new, it has significantly more detail than the older Comet kits. Features all recessed panel lines, full interior with a sofa, four seats and instrument panel, optional position landing gear and rotating propellers. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note, one prop retainer is short shot. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box.
