Early 1970s issue that was originally kit number WW-2 from 1965. One of a very popular line of World War 1 flying aircraft stick and tissue kits with an 18 inch wingspan. Kit features scale plastic wheels, propeller, nose cowl & pilots bust, die cut balsa parts, clear material for windshield, plywood firewall, rubber motor and full decals. The kit has never been started but NOTE: missing tissue, but otherwise inventoried complete. NOTE that decals are present but heavily damaged (not good) and a professional draftsman drew some assembly guide lines on the plans. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Comes with Gold Metal Models photoetched brass "Gold Plus Detail Set For 1/350 Lusitania and Titanic' and the large "1/350 Merchant Ship Titanic and Lusitania" set. Both sets have never been used and are complete with all parts and instructions. The actual kit is older but highly detailed, full hull and measures over 28 inches long when assembled and includes a display base. The kit has never assembled but NOTE: all portholes have been neatly drilled out with the proper size drill bits. This is a big task that takes many hours; all work is done to 'excellent' or better standards. There is no other work done. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the box top mentions some PE accessories, but none are present and none are shown on the instructions. Perhaps the included two sets from GMM were what Mr. Hobby included? Regardless, the two included GMM sets are superior and more complete than anything Mr. Hobby would have included.

The stock version is complete but NOTE: missing race dash, custom steering wheel and race lap belts (the instructions show lap belts, but I have never had one that included them!) Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. Please NOTE that the original decals are peeling, so I have included an additional Jo-Han sheet for a Plymouth of the same scale. Decals are restricted to the race and custom versions; Jo-Han did not furnish any decals for the stock version.

Rare. Age unknown - likely 1940s. This is a very highly detailed, period kit of the famous early and ground-breaking design that included most of the basic automobile fundamentals. Features full engine, detailed suspension and drive-line, steerable wheels, injection molded spoked wheels, headlamps and steering wheel, die-cut plastic spring leaves, brake shoes, brackets and trim parts, hardwood parts cut to shape, die-cut plywood parts, axles, sandpaper and fantastic, full size plans with numerous diagrams, detailed assembly drawings, text instructions and more. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. Mod-Ac was a manufacture of early hobby kits out of Los Angeles California. During World War II they issued a well known kit line of military vehicles. The company was innovative as this kit shows - the wide variety of materials, pre-carved wood and highly detailed plans and instructions put this model many notches above the 'make wood look like vehicle' type of kit.

They were not 'simple' as the name implies, but they were easier than the tedious but very realistic 1/16 scale Cleveland offerings. This kit features shaped and cut out parts, quality die-cut printwood, carved nose, clear vacuform canopy, a factory sealed wax bag containing fully formed wheels, factory-bent gear struts (main and nose), full color decals and Cleveland's superior plans with all drawings and detailed text instructions for building and flying. The kit has not been started. The actual model and plans are complete and excellent but NOTE: The decals are a partial sheet; the USA national insignia is missing but the rest are present.
