Wonderful kit from the 1950s. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. Features all high-quality hardwood main parts, full color decals, glue, wood filler and sandpaper. Never started. The small parts are still factory sealed. All other parts have been inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - you only had to glue, sand and paint to finish them.

Very nice quality vacuform kit with very fine raised detail. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes plans/instructions. Exact-Vac was a small, two-man company which had acquired the 'Bald Eagle' line of kits. They reissued these quality kits in 1980 and production ended by 1985. They were headquartered out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The full line included the following 1/48 kits: I-16, Yak-3, Me-163B, P-40N and Grumman Duck. Vacuform kits are only recommended for people experienced with this type of kit. Previous experience and scratch building skills are required.

Includes two very rare after market sets. One is the C Scale EB-66 C Conversion. Features superb cast metal parts and full instructions. Complete and not started; also included in a 2nd set of instructions and another set of the ECM fairings. Also included is DB Productions DB52 RB-66B Rear Fuselage Plug beautifully cast in high definition resin. Never used and complete. The Actual kit is the hard-to-find 1/72 version of the gun tailed B-66. This is the USAF version of the very large Navy Skywarrior A-3 or "Whale" as the carrier crews and flight crews called it due to its large size for a carrier aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, detailed gear wells, cockpit detail and optional position landing gear. Contains a large, colorful decal sheet for two USAF aircraft - RB-66B 42nd TRW-England 1960 and RB-66B 19th TRW-England 1958. This is the early B-66 which is not that far removed externally from the original Navy A-3 Bomber. This B-66 still retains the tail stinger. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Original hardbox issue from the early 1960s; not a reissue. Very rare and from 1958. From ex-Best molds. Aurora purchased the Best molds for the Indianapolis 500 Winners and made one issue. Kit is molded in gray with real rubber tires, a driver figure, some interior detail and very nice decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still sealed in the internal factory bag and includes decals and instructions. Bill Vukovich was the driver of the Fuel Injection Special, which roared over the 500 miles in 3 hours, 53 minutes and 10 seconds. The average speed was 128.740 mph and he lead for 195 laps. Some laps were as fast as 138 mph. This car has magnesium disc wheels, and the first eight finishers also sported the same instead of the customary wire wheels.
