Features very fine raised panel lines and recessed control surfaces, full cockpit, crew, optional position landing gear and decals for 1/KG-26 North Sea 1942/42 - II/KG-53 Russia - 2/KG-26 Mediterranean Sea 1942/43. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: decals are present and intact but they have visible microcracking.

Superb kit from the 1960s and 'the winner of many national and international contests and "One of the few able to execute the stunt pattern." Designed for control line flight with .19 to .35 engines. Features detailed metal radiator, cleanly die-cut balsa and plywood parts that are inter-notched for fast and easy assembly, shaped and notched leading and trailing edges, rock maple hardwood motor mounts, material for machine guns, gas model silkspan, formed wire landing gear, hardware pack, authentic decals, extensive full size plans and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I personally considered Sterlings to be 'deluxe' kits.

Fully detailed inside and out including a 2 way radio, litter bed, fire extinguisher and hose, first aid kit, crash axe, rope coil, loudspeaker, roof spotlight and handle and more. Very high quality model with legendary LS detail and moldings. This is a glossy artwork box with different artwork from most issues. Great kit with a host of unique features. Model comes with solid color and clear fuselage halves and engine cowls so you can, if you choose, view the detailed interior and engine compartments. A detailed cut-away lithograph is included showing additional details if you wish to add them. The kit features all fine, recessed panel lines, working wing flaps and ailerons, detailed cockpit and more. Includes ground figures and wheel chocks. The model as never been started. Many parts are still in the factory sealed bag and all other parts have been inventoried complete with decals and instructions. The Ki-109 was based on the Hiryu (Peggy) design as a high altitude interceptor against B-29s. A large cannon was placed in the nose and it had it's own operator stationed below the cockpit.
