By February of 1941 Sokol was patrolling the Bay of Biscay and Dzik followed shortly after delivery on October 11, 1942. Both of these ships achieved significant success in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, where they destroyed several enemy ships. Both subs outlasted the war and were returned to England.
