Still factory sealed but the seal has shrunk and exposed the box ends. Nicely made, larger scale kit from the mid 1950s to the very early 1960s. Lincoln was based in Hong Kong. Plastic kits were not the primary business, but they established quite a line of them before discontinuing production in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Many molds moved to Kader, also in Hong Kong, who reissued the line. Many molds eventually found their way to the USA either through ATP (who purchased the excess kit stock when Kader sold out) or IM.

Large, deluxe and incredibly well detailed featuring factory-cut hardwood bulkheads and other larger parts, diecut hardwood parts, numerous completely formed and finished smaller wooden parts in a variety of different hardwoods, two types of top- quality strip wood for hull planking, hundreds of fitting in brass, cast metal, wood and more, early American cloth flag, sail cloth, rigging material, thick instructions book, separate and large illustrated building guide with over 120 detailed photos of the assembly steps and multiple sheets of beautiful plans. The kit has never been started. Inside, all the parts are still factory sealed except one fittings tray, where the seal had split. I opened that one tray and many parts were still in small, factory sealed bags. The loose ones were inventoried and they are complete. With instructions and plans. The plans are in 'excellent+' condition but NOTE: the instruction book has a large, light water stain. It does not affect assembly. Pages are free and not stuck together.

Very rare. Seldom seen, true first release one piece box from 1953. The kit is 100% correct. This kit is one of Revell's first three aircraft kits, all packed in this type of box. Revell soon learned that this box was inadequate for plastic models, so they quickly moved to the two-piece hardbox (a medium weight cardboard box folded to shape and glued together with a litho 'slick'). I have graded this box 'Excellent' due to the factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, four intact small flaps and two intact large flaps (with no repairs) and no tape or tape marks. Flaws include a very light crease at the upper right, very slight general wear and a 5/8 inch square price tag pull on the right short side. It is in exceptional condition for this kit due to the weak nature of the box design. The early kit inside is 100% correct. As was correct for this issue only, it has no landing gear or rivet detail. The decals are the correct early version from "The Colortone Co." and the instructions are printed on the back of the box. These kit comes with the unique solid color two piece stand (as shown in the instructions) molded in the same color as the aircraft. This stand was only used for the first three Revell aircraft kits (F9F, Cutlass and F-94) and Revell's first Gift Set with these three aircraft. The model is molded in the correct dark gloss blue with a clear canopy. The model has never been started. It is inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions (on the back of the box). The decals are intact and not age cracked, but have the typical age foxing to the backing paper. The actual transfers have no foxing and are clean.
