That way the were easier to keep in good condition. As a result, the sails are in 'very good++' condition, which is well above average. ITC Tri-Motor Stinson - Model T Eastern Air Service, 1/61, 3722

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$169

Rare. This famous early 1930s transport was the primary competition of the Ford Tri-Motor and saw widespread use. It was the idea of E.L. Cord, the money behind the aircraft and the owner of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg automobile company. Cord also owned Lycoming, the engines that ended up on the final product. Another of Cord's companies was Century Airlines, which naturally used the aircraft. Century later became part of American Airlines. The Model T was used by many other airlines including Eastern, Delta, Braniff, TWA, United and American when they rolled up Century. The Tri-Motor carried 10 passengers, baggage and of course the mail, which was critical to early airline revenue. The aircraft proved successful and economical to operate. Includes clear windows, interior with passengers and pilots, Eastern Air Service decals and clear blue-tinted display stand. Never started. The clear blue parts are still in the factory sealed bag; all other parts have been inventoried complete and includes decals and instructions.

Molded in brown, red, yellow, brass (gold) plate, black, clear, clear tinted in red, light blue and green and with real rubber tires, rubber tubing and several metal parts. Includes full pinstripe decals on two large sheets. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few parts that were not factory sealed (the two yellow parts trees & large red parts) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Aurora Dutch Boy, 1/8, 413-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$125

Hard-to-find issue with a 1957 date. It is even rarer in this condition, which is with an 'excellent' box, never started and still factory sealed inside. This is part of Aurora's very famous 1/8 scale figure kits. This one includes a base with a map of Holland and Dutch Box with hat, wooden clogs and skates. Molded in a very light flesh-like color. Aurora Focke-Wulf Fw-190 Famous Fighters Of All Nations - First Issue, 1/48, 30-59

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$295

Very rare and 100% correct first issue from 1954 with the proper swastika box art and swastika decals. This one is even rarer as it is never started and complete. The model is molded in the correct gloss black and clear, with the rectangle-based clear stand, matching instructions, decals and even the original factory packing tissue paper. The decals are flat and in stunning 'excellent++' condition with the only flaw being slight age yellowing to the backing paper only. The instructions are 'near mint.' The box has very good color and gloss, four solid original corners (no repairs), no price tags or tag marks, no tape or tape marks (other than the thin factory sealing tape of course), no fading, stains or missing litho. Flaws include general wear & scuffing as shown and light corner wear. This kit has a fascinating history. The FW-190 was among the first (or was the first) kit made at the new West Hempstead factory in 1954. It immediately followed the famous "Brooklyn 8" (Aurora's first 8 aircraft kits). It was Aurora's first WWII aircraft kit to be originally issues with landing gear and bombs but still retains the small clear rectangle stand which was also shown on the instructions. This first issue shows the swastika on the box art and decals; however, Aurora quickly realized that they could not sell the kit in Europe. So they used an ink stamp to black out the offensive mark on the box top and initially cut it out of the decal sheet; however, they were quick to make a completely new decal sheet with the 'iron cross' replacing the swastika. These alterations are often called the 'second issue' although it carried the same part number and everything else was the same.

Aurora P-38 Lightning Brooklyn Issue - Famous Fighters of All Nations - First Issue, 1/48, 99-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

$345

Very rare and exceptional first issue from the early 1950s and one of the famous 'Brooklyn 8' which were Aurora's first aircraft kits. All kits from the Brooklyn factory are rare, but this one is the finest I have ever seen and features a box in 'Excellent+++' condition and inside it is exactly as it left the factory. Molded with correct light gloss blue and clear plastic with correct Brooklyn stand, decals and instructions. It even has original packing tissue paper. The decals are in amazing 'Near Mint' condition and are still flat. There is no yellowing and they are correctly marked 'Tatem Company' on the back. The instructions are 'excellent' with age yellowing on one panel as the only notable flaw. The box is 'Excellent+++' with amazing color and gloss, no fading, no tear, no missing litho, no tape (other than the thin factory sealing tape, of course), no stains or repairs and the very neatly applied original price tag on the right short side from "Neisner's 5 Cent to $1.00 Store." Box flaws include light scuffing and the slightest hint of a .25 inch crease at the upper right as the only flaws. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Includes both superb ship models from modern 2006 Revell of Germany molds. Both are full hull models with excellent detail. And Revell took the time to capture the differences between the two ships in these models. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The story of Emden's Indian Ocean raiding career in WWI is legendary. The story of Dresden's short career in WWI also interesting. She was serving with the German East Asiatic Squadron; near the start of hostilities they made a voyage across the Pacific Ocean hoping to go around South America and return to Germany via the Atlantic. The squadron came across Sir Christopher Cradock's British Squadron in the South Pacific at Coronel. There the Germans won a great victory over Cradock; the problem was that now the Germans were sited and their intentions known. The British positioned battlecruisers at the Falkland islands in anticipation; they did not have long to wait. When the Germans were sighted, the British casually got ready then sailed, knowing their superior speed and gun range could make short work of the biggest ships the Germans had. The British were correct; the Germans were soundly defeated off the Falklands. However, the Dresden was the only German ship to survive. She went back around Cape Horn in the Pacific and successfully hid for several months, only to be eventually found near Mas a Tierra (Chile) by Glasgow and Kent. Knowing that escape was impossible, the Dresden was scuttled by her crew. The wreck still lies in the harbor today.

$95

Original issue 'S' kit from 1956 with the fantastic box art that has made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in remarkable 'Excellent++' condition with fantastic color and gloss. The only flaws are very light edge wear & shelf wear that is restricted to the side panels. The model features pilot and ejection seat, wing tips in the folded or flight position, full landing gear, detail main gear wells and more. Molded in the correct light gray and clear and includes the famous clear Revell 'Globe' swivel display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Revell Russian T-34 Tank S Issue, 1/40, H538-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$110

Rare original hardbox issue from 1958; not the common 1990s reproduction. The model features working flexible treads, rotating turret with elevating gun, optional position hatches, four troops and more. Molded in the correct gloss deep green and with silver flexible tracks. Never started. All parts, decals and instructions have been inventoried 100% complete and are correct for this early issue. The box top has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no repairs. The flaws are corner wear on the left as shown, a very light price tag pull on the left short side and a 3/4" x 3/4" factory tape pull on the long lower side. The original store neatly marked out the '129' price extension on both short side panels and wrote a very small '70' cents next to it.

Revell SMS Seeadler With 'S' Glue - German WWI Commerce Raider - (Sea Eagle), 1/232, H382-298

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$220

Rare 1960 hardbox first issue and ever rarer in this condition. The 'Excellent++' condition box features great framable John Steel artwork. Inside, it even contains a factory-wrapped very colorful metal tube of 'S' glue as well as a history of the Seeadler, a message from Count Luckner, a map of the journey and locations & names of all the ships sunk by the raider. This is a kit of a fantastic subject, the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. It is a very well detailed model for that time and has a full hull, display stand, detailed deck houses and deck fittings, davits and ship's boats, guns, fife rails, preformed rat lines, rigging material, rigging instructions and much more. Molded in gray, brown & black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes the flag sheet and instructions. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.

Israel's first M50 Shermans were secretly delivered in the dead of night, on an Israeli beach by a French LST. Arriving just in time for the Suez Campaign, this initial batch was based on the red-engined French M4A4's with a M4 style engined deck. Other early M50s were seen using mid and late production cast hull M4A1s. This is a well detailed kit that features optional parts for different date M50s, flexible and realistic tracks that build up on tread at a time, track-tension adjusting sprocket (a great feature), optional position hatches, separately molded tools, extra bogies & jerry cans and more. Includes full decals and painting guide. Never started. Many parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the parts that are not have been inventoried complete.
