NOTE: kit has minor assembly. Hull halves have been assembled; quality is professional; no gaps and no visible glue. There is no other assembly. 5mm of the port half of the figurehead is broke off the hull and missing; the starboard side is intact, so it is difficult to see this defect. The deck and sails have been neatly painted. You can use them as-is or paint directly over them. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to, in this case Gary Cooper and Clark Gable's automobiles. This was the Duesenberg Company's last great automobile before going out of business in 1937. The Model J was a superb automobile and the fastest and finest car of it's day. Never to be outdone, the two brothers made two supercharged 'Super-Duesenbergs' were constructed from J models and are referred to as SSJs. The out put was a whopping 400 bhp. (The term SSJ was never used by the factory.)

Long out-of-production and from the early to mid 1970s. From ex-Pyro molds. Designed from the original blueprints furnished by the American President Lines. Has markings for the Ocean Liners SS President Wilson or SS President Cleveland. These fine ships sailed to exotic Pacific ports and did at least one Round-The-World Cruise each year. At the time the kit was made, they were the only two ocean liners flying the American flag. This kit has not been started. NOTE: missing one small lifeboat. One lifeboat has two broken davits (molded with the part) but both parts are included and an easy fix. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, 'very good++' decals, flag sheet and instructions present. Box is rough and only graded 'fair' as shown.
