Life-Like M20 Armored Car with 6 G.I.s - (ex Revell / Adams), 1/40, 09651

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc++

$79

Sale Pending
Email for availability.

From Ex-Revell/Adams molds. Nicely detailed kit with full suspension, interior detail, rolling wheels and movable machine gun. This kit has a fascinating history. Adams originally cut the molds, but discontinued all model production before issuing it. Revell ended up with the molds for this and many other Adams AFV kits and issued this one in 1956. However, SNAP issued this model in the late 1950s/early 1960s. Eventually Life-Like ended up with them, but in between it was announced or issued by several other companies. Lindberg was the last known owner, so perhaps Round 2 now has them.

Life-Like USS Missouri BB63 Battleship - (ex Otaki), 1/350, B239

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$69

Very large 1/350 scale kit that is intended to be motorized with optional parts (not included). Ideal for R/C conversion. Features large one-piece hull, interior spaces for batteries, motor, gear box for drive on all four shafts, shaft stuffing boxes, etc. Well detailed for an older kit with separately molded guns down to 20mm singles, directors for each gun set, catapults with two aircraft and much more. Also includes decals for the ship and aircraft, brass plated props, very nice brass-plated name plate, display stand, scale flag sheet and waterline marking tape that is factory sealed in a marked envelope. A very nice kit of the Missouri in WWII configuration but certainly not the quality of the new Tamiya kit in the same scale. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing one part, a gun director. The others are present, so you can cast a replacement. Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions.

I believe this is the former Otaki kit that was motorized. This Life-Like issue has the motorizing as optional, and they sold the motorizing parts separately. Ideal for R/C conversion. Features a one-piece, 32.5 inch long hull with stuffing boxes for all four props, detailed island structure, removable main decks, deck cranes and tugs, optional position elevators and an extensive airwing including F-4 Phantoms (folded wings and unfolded), A-5 Vigilante, A-6 Intruder, A-4 Skyhawk, E-2 Hawkeye, A-7A Corsair II and S-2 Trackers. There are two large decal sheets that include all deck markings, numbers and airwing markings. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and the static version is complete; the working version is missing (2) control horns for the rudders. Otherwise complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note, the instructions and decals have minor bug damage.

Life-Like Charles W. Morgan Whaling Ship - (ex-Pyro), B249-150

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$32

From the mid 1970s. Very nicely detailed medium-size kit originally from Pyro's line of sailing ships. The medium models were originally called the '$1.00' ship line, which were a significant step up in size and detail from the '50 cent' series. Full hull model measures 8.5 inches long when assembled and features with very good molded detail, pre-molded ratlines, detailed deck, billowing sails and display stand. Never started. The white sails are still factory sealed; the dark wood brown parts have been inventoried complete with instructions.

Life-Like Robert E. Lee Mississippi Steam Boat - (ex Pyro), 1/160, B237

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$129

1970 issue from original Pyro molds. Very large and well detailed kit for that time. The race between the Lee and Natchez is considered a classic tale of The River. Although the Lee won, the circumstances were suspect and many people still considered the Natchez the fastest paddle-wheel packet ever. For example, the Lee carried no payload and the Natchez was carrying passengers and a normal payload. All details of the real ship, including the wooden railings and carvings are duplicated in plastic. Includes full rigging instructions and thread. Molded in tan and ivory plastic. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The very few parts that were never factory sealed (the large ones and paddle wheels) have been inventoried complete including colorful flag sheet and instructions.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$37

The original owner carefully cut the original seal at the bottom, leaving it intact on the box top. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

The famous mutiny ship of Captain Bligh and Fletcher Christian fame. About 8" inches long when assembled. Nicely detailed medium-size kit from Pyro's line of sailing ships. Life-Like HMS Bounty Famous Mutiny Ship, B250-125

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$22

The famous mutiny ship of Captain Bligh and Fletcher Christian fame. About 8" inches long when assembled. Very nicely detailed medium-size kit from Pyro's line of sailing ships. The deck and sails have been neatly painted. You can use them as-is or paint directly over them. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions.

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. Pyro advertised these as ideal for slot car conversion.

The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to, in this case Gary Cooper and Clark Gable's automobiles. This was the Duesenberg Company's last great automobile before going out of business in 1937. The Model J was a superb automobile and the fastest and finest car of it's day. Never to be outdone, the two brothers made two supercharged 'Super-Duesenbergs' were constructed from J models and are referred to as SSJs. The out put was a whopping 400 bhp. (The term SSJ was never used by the factory.)
