Vacuform Model Kit
Kit is of Type 529 VX136 or VX133. Initially designed as an undercarriage-less aircraft for use from the 'flexible deck' aircraft carrier being though of at the time. Interest was quickly lost in the flexible deck and the Admiralty ask for real landing gear. This was easily incorporated into the design, and the 508 was born. The aircraft has folding wings, an offset nosewheel, two very early 'Avon' engines and a unique variable incidence tail. Performance was good, and the 3rd prototype was given swept wings...which gave birth to the Scimitar fighter. Very high quality vac kit. Features excellent moldings, full decals for both airplanes and many metal details. Never started and complete.
