Aeroclub 1/72 Fairey Firefly IIM - Belgian Air Force plastic model kit

1/72 Aeroclub Fairey Firefly IIM - Belgian Air Force

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

The Firefly IIM (M for metal) started as a private venture interceptor. The RAF was not interested as the Firefly lost to the Hawker Hornet (commonly known as the Fury), but the Belgians ordered 77. Some 50 saw action when Belgium was invaded. A IIIM version (floats) was used as a RAF practice airplane for the Schneider Trophy Races. Includes painting guide and markings for Lere Escad, 2e Escad (Schaffen 1932), 3e Escad (Nivelles 1938), 4e Escad (Nivelles 1940) and Exole de Perfectionnement (Wevelgem 1035). Nice injection molded kit with cast metal details and full decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
