As for the Nieuport, this famous and sleek aircraft was initially rejected by the French Air Service and was given to the American Expeditionary Force due to the shortage of SPAD XIIIs. The Nieuport 28 was proven in combat and flown by most of America's WWI Aces. Decals are included for the USAF Museum replica of the 95th Aero Sq., Raoul Lufbery 95th Sq, Wentworth 95th Aero Sq, Ralph O'Neal 147th Sq, Douglas Campbell 94th Aero Sq, and two aircraft from Eddie Rickenbacker (#s 16 and 1) from the 94th Aero Sq. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing the cowl, but the superior Atlee cowl is present. All other parts are accounted for, including the large and extensive decal sheet and instructions. The box artwork for this kit was done by Charles Sterns. He was a very prolific model builder and painter. Besides several Glencoe kits, one of his many paintings can be seen as the cover art for Over the Front magazine, 1992: Volume 7, Number 2.
